Lost Baggage - very frustrated…learned that bag was never put on plane.
For the price we paid, I couldn’t complain. Was good value for money. Service was excellent but food was mediocre. Crew were excellent and spoke English. You will never go hungry. The food was ample but was mediocre. Entertainment limited and wifi doesn’t all allow you to access some social media. The best part was comfortable seats and bed (business class) with a screen to close out the rest of the cabin.
Good airline for the price. The Air stewardess are great, nothing is to much trouble. Will use again.
The flight was cancelled without any reason. But the next flight to Shanghai has to be cancelled to pay penalty.
How do you run out of beer after one hour of a twelve hour flight?!
You’re in the three parts of my life, the China Eastern air crew remembered and wish me happy birthday. I was given pastries on two different occasions and a complementary drink. The stew is wish me happy birthday and gave me a birthday card. Everything was first class. Thank you.
2 hours delay on the 1st plane out of the day!!!!!
Multiple delays, with no explanation. Caused us to almost miss our connector. The airline made no effort when we arrived in Shanghai to help us make it to our next flight with the same airline.
Pros: "The flight was smooth. Food was on time . Wine is available for the anxious flyers who can’t sleep."

My two luggage issue during my trip from kansai osaka to Shanghai. 1st booked tickets online, a iliitle hard time to follow all questions when I booked tickets. I haven't selected 2 luggage so that Spring Airline of osaka crew charged $181 US Dollar with my 2 luggage fee. Also, crew member mentioned I maybe be able to get money some back because I should got differe rate, the rate of luggage should was matched with tickets I ordered from edreams. I did try to access edream at the day I was changing my boarding pass. Therefore, I hope Kayak if can help me getting some my luggage fees back, I will appreciate a lot. Thank you, Jie egusa
This is a terrible airline. Worst seats I’ve ever encountered. Avoid at all costs!
Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "I have a small carry on bag. They said it was too large and I had to check it. They measured it and said my wheels would be outside the allowed length. So they insisted I check my 8kg bag and charged me $50. I have used this bag many times on Spring and other airlines without issue. It's small. Very sneaky by them."
I was given a middle row seat and the plane was a small 737-800. Much too cramped for a full flight of over 5.5hours.
Cons: "The seats provide very little space which is especially bad when traveling for many hours, the food options were quite bad, this is the only flight that i've been asked to take my headphones off during take off and 30 mins to an hour before landing and it makes no sense, the crew was quite rude and not helpful and overall the quality of the aircraft is quite dated and was left in a bit of disarray."

Cons: "I had issues when I was checking in as the ground staff said my name in my reservation did not match the name in their system. This is a problem which they need to resolve internally as I wrote my name correct"

Pros: "The flight was delayed slightly, but the gate agents kept us informed of the situation and did a fine job of being clear and transparent. In the end, we boarded about 20 minutes late, but still arrived early in Shanghai. Crew was lovely. All the on-board announcements were clear. The music was soothing. The food (which I was not expecting, given the fare, was better than I expected. Mediocre, but not bad. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would not hesitate to fly them again."
Pros: "Gave blankets and pillows for the flight, had a little snack box (but was all carbs). Plane is 99% Chinese and they are not super welcoming, kind of rude and it’s a little uncomfortable."
Cons: "Seats were stiff, process of landing was strange, it was all just not great."
Cons: "Flyus.com on phone for 2 hrs. Gave up and booked new tickets. Would not recommend kayak uses them. Makes me less likely to book in future"
