Pros. We received and early check-in and the pool and fire pit were gorgeous.
Cons. We were expecting a bit more from a hotel rated so highly. The bathroom in our king suite was dingy and run down. The pillows on the bed were quite uncomfortable. We had to have our room keys reprogrammed for our one night's stay, which was very unfortunate at midnight.
Pros. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is a very good value.
Cons. I was not happy to have a room next to the freeway. The noise made sleep difficult.
Pros. Pool / Bar / room
Cons. No enforcement of loud people above or outside of the windows at 3 in the morning.
Pros. It was close to the college for an early morning tour. Room was clean , staff were super friendly, Pool was nice .
Cons. It was super close to the highway, which was loud . Hard to find entry point . Security monitor at entry point, the entire campus and hotel are surrounded by fencing .
Pros. We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel including the restaurant, bar, pool, room, proximity to downtown Phoenix and the Light Rail, employees, and convenience of having a fridge/microwave in the room. Special callout on the pool which is much nicer than similar hotels and having a pretty nice restaurant & bar on the premises.
Cons. The top issue with this hotel is its location. It sits up against the 17 Freeway and the road noise is significant. If you get a King Suite, it will most likely have the bedroom area / window right next to the freeway and is very loud. I would stay there again on a subsequent visit, but I will be sure to not book a King Suite and I will specifically request a room that is quiet. I also notice the traffic is louder on the 3rd floor, so I will also try to stay on a lower level. There was an odor in the room. I actually bought an air freshener from the store to put in the room. The free breakfast is OJ, Coffee, Sweet Rolls, Bagels, Muffins, and Apples. It would be wonderful to have something healthy besides apples (yogurt, oatmeal, additional fruit). They do have oatmeal and yogurt on the restaurant menu for $7 each which I took advantage of.
Pros. Hotel staff was friendly, pool was nice, lobby/restaurant/bar area was nice. Price was certainly competitive.
Cons. Could hear a fair amount of noise from outside the room at night. No open electrical outlets near the desk in the room. Not much of interest within walking distance and it's a bit confusing accessing the hotel from the road (for cab/Uber drivers).
