Bathroom is dirty and half broken, carpet is used and should have been changed years ago.
comfortable, well heated and good sized room, power shower
the surprise credit card surcharge, the general decaying atmosphere in public areas, the hair stuck on the pop up sink plug, the urgent need to repaint the bathroom ceiling, uneaten room service food abandoned in corners of the hotel for at least two days, the unhelpful management philopsophy of "it's company policy" with staff intimidated by "we've had a head office memo about it" when you aren't happy.
Convenience of hotel as it is close to local amenities
Still no bill as "system down". Black mouldy bathroom ceiling with cracked sink. Chair with "salty" watermark half way accross it. Woken in night by false fire alarm etc, all this with no breakfast for £117 is beyond belief.
cooked breakfast terrible
The bathroom was in such a disgusting condition that I made two compalints, but even after it was (by the duty manager!) it was not much better by check out day. Therefore I want to know the contact for a formal complaint.
I chose the Britannia mainly because a lot of the hotels in central Aberdeen were not available on my chosen dates and the price was within my travel budget. The hotel was basic but suited my needs for the two nights I was there. The staff were helpful and friendly and I also liked the fact that the hotel was in close proximity to the airport and offered a free airport transfer.
pool and gyn facilities
overall staff not very helpful and lack lustre in the hepl dept
Generally everything was pretty nice
The room was far too warm. This seems common in Aberdeen hotels. The bedsheets included a very itchy wooly blanket
Room service was crap and they tried to charge us more for our 2 nights stay than what was advertised on the internet.
