It is near the beach and my room had a lovely view of the hills. The swimming pool was also handy to cool down after a trip to the nearby towns. There is a very well stocked supermarket next to it which made shopping and cooking in the room very convenient. The hotel owner, George, was very helpful - on two occasions he offered me a lift to the motorway and waited until the bus came to pick me up. He was also there to give me a lift back to the hotel.
Some of the towels were frayed and the sheets had holes in them. On one occasion I saw a cockroach in the bathroom and had to cover the drains to stop more coming out. The toilet flush didn't work very well and I had to pour bucketfuls of water to do the job.
Friendly welcome by the owner, free use of his pc/internet and a wonderful breakfast -name it and it was there!
Area around hotel not attractive.
Hospitality was exceptional! Hotel garden was beautiful. Pool will be a plus when it is opened for the season. Owner/Manager George shared time to suggest ways to spend our first two days in Crete. A tasty, breakfast was served. George's travel ideas were fantastic, including tips on local cuisine. Air conditioner/heater was quiet. Room had hotplate and fridge.
The controls for TV were not functional. Shower had no hook for shower wand. Toilet was slow to refill. (But the room was fine, and Maria from the owner/manager family provided us with water and carefully explained how to operate the heating/air conditioning system). We hope to return to Dioskouri Apts!!!
Quite and calm atmosphere
In 4 persons apartments in the second room was no aircondicion
Small swimming pool- not "large" as in description.
