I like the location (hotel itself), size and layout of the room. Fair price. Staff was helpful
There was only one plastic cup in the bathroom. Had to go to the front desk for more cups.No ice maker, unless you count the one that was in the ice tray that was in the our freezer...did housekeeping forget to clean out the refridgerator??
staff, room, cleanliness
Nice room n amenities
Carpet was freshly shampooed and was still very damp
The proximity to my seminar, the cost and the isolation. I needed a place to think while processing the information I was there to learn.
The lack of a shuttle from the airport and the lack of assistance to getting to the hotel from the staff when I called.
The location and staff.
Rooms are very basic. Public spaces not cleaned regularly. Super cheap everything--linens, furniture etc. Horrible muffins at breakfast.
Breakfast is really limited.
The location is convenient to Oakland airport. The hotel is relatively clean looking.
Room had a very strong odor of a Febrese type product which made me think it was masking some other problem (mold?). Analog TV only; few channels. Staff was young/nearly non-existant. For $----- inc tax - this was a very pricey motel type experience.
Near my job
i like the fact that the staff was friendly and helpful
can't think of anything
The price was good, and it had a kitchen that we didn't use.
The airport noise was bothersome and noise isolation between walls and floors was terrible.
The staff is friendly.
Drapes burnt and cigarette marks in a nonsmoking room. They didn't seem to care too much about that. Asked for new room said sold out. And they didn't offer any concessions.
Nice spacious place like a mini apartment cool place to stay
No good places out there
Friendly staff. Room was amazing. Best Extended Stay I've visited. Clean.
No shuttle, no nearby amenities
the size of the room
not enough tv stations
Good sized room.
Cleanliness was lacking- hairs on the counter and in the tub, a mild smoke smell- just a place you didn't want to stay too long.
the size of bed
the lady at the counter sitting there instead if standing up barely can reach the counter so I had to reach over the counter to grab the pen and the keys. I was given a room that was a smoking room that smelled and I didn't request it, toilet was broke,
Only 1 bed. The 2 of us ripped off. Only a pull out for number 2.
There's an exercise roomIt was close to everything we needed to be close toFree parkingFree wireless internetVery helpful desk clerk who brought our plates and silverware to our room
Exercise room had no weights and no waterThere was a police raid in the morningOther guests are loudShower spray was half-strength because tub faucet wouldn't shut offSlow internet
Staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is a misnomer. Would prefer a label such as 'morning snack' since it certainly did not qualify as breakfast.
People are so nice, helpful And friendly.
Cleaning people leave doors wide open when cleaning rooms, so anyone can look in. It would be better to keep the door mostly closed.
The room was the very best part
the reason it's a 2 star, no pool, no shuttle, no daily room service, no ICE, no extra blanket,
NOTHING. The price is decent but thats about it. There is no way to get to Oakland Airport be warned. You will be calling Uber or a taxi.
The Hotel bills itself as a Free Breakfast. There is no real food on this 'breakfast' but just a few granola bars and a few packets of dry oatmeal.
Clean rooms and frindley staff
Out of the way and not really close to any restaurants.
Great hotel and staff perfect for air travel.
Nothing close for shopping entertainment or food. Closest food and shopping 1.5 - 2miles away
The room was clean, nicely furnished, meant for a business traveler staying for awhile.
We needed a place close to the airport for an early morning flight. This room did not have coffee or cups. It did not have an airport shuttle. Taxi cost us $20 dollars and driver was unhappy with a $5.00 tip. Not meant for 1 night stay.
Close to Oakland airport
Stripped down hotel, no ice, no alarm clock, no in room coffee makers, no glassesNo restaurants nearby. Grab and go breakfast not worth the calories, just go.
Is far away from oakland airport, also the breakfast its a joke there´s only coffee and a few cookies. The room al dirty and too loud.
Filthy rooms, I was placed in a smoking room although i booked non smoking. The room smelled of cigarette or tobacco smoke. I was extremely tired from my long drive to Oakland, Ca and I was disappointed that I purchased a room third party without refund
Noisy refrigerator swaped out after complaining
Bed sheet had been cut in a t-shape and was still used. Tear was at top of flat sheet and could not have been unseen by hotel staff. We were placed in a smoking room when not requested. Smoke a terrible air freshener throughout. Yuck
Spacious room. Comfortable bed.
The breakfast was very disappointing. Coffee, old apples and oranges, prepackaged muffins, granola bars.
This one, not much. However, I've stayed at other extended stays that were great.
I reserved(and paid for)a king bed, received a queen. Staff wasn't great. Location is weird. Room above was very noisy. Bathtub had hair.
Aug 5, 2014 Great location ,nice rooms, convenient stores, restaurants, airport,& ferries to San Francisco. Only problem our room smell bad from cigarette smoke. Staff is friendly, grab and go breakfast is okay, coffee is great the area is safe. No traffic
Smoking in rooms
staff was really friendly and she was very helpfil
the bathroom was not cleaned and the card readers to the room battery died and we were locked out the room
Style and amenities
No customer service not quality control they did not clean the room.
Very clean and quite.
Not enough breakfast
The hotel staff was very rude. I had clothes, shoes, and food stolen from my room. I have a copy of a letter the hotel manager left for the front desk making derogatory comments about me. I will never stay at this hotel again. I travel alot!
The concierge 'Jerrell', was doing the laundry and was overwhelmed by his job duties and that the hotel was way too overbooked and not sure how it happened.
We spent two nights at this hotel and our room was never cleaned. We even left throughout the day to give housekeeping ample time to clean our room. One evening we returned to our room after 6p and the housekeeping maid was barely showing up. We were exhausted, so asked her not to bother cleaning the room because we wanted to rest.
Not sure why anyone would rate it as a 3-star hotel. Very much Motel 6 quality, but with a kitchen. The exterior looks nice, but very spartan and low quality inside. Free breakfast included pre-packaged, well preserved, no refrigeration required muffins, bagel, cream cheese, creamers, mixed jelly and oatmeal. Fresh items include apples, oranges and bananas, along with coffee. No milk (accordingly, no cereal) so it was not a very kid-appealing place. Nightly rate was very low, but I would only stay there briefly or if by myself. With a family, its isolation and sparse amenities would make it difficult to keep children happy, unless you do not mind a 6 mile drive to get milk.
The room was clean, and the staff was amazing! It did sort of smell funny in the entire hotel and in the room as well. I have a sensitive nose and it kind of drove me crazy. It was a good value though and I can't really complain.
I stayed here for five nights with my wife. I would not suggest staying here if you are not renting a car, because there is nothing worthwhile in walking distance. The room was very basic with a noisy bed and a poor quality tv. It did have some nice amenities: free wifi, stove, oven, fridge, coffee maker, and a desk area. Once you got back to the hotel you were out of things to do. The main concern on these trips is the bed, and it was noisy and not very comfortable. The room had stains on the carpet and didn't feel entirely clean. The manager was very friendly and a funny guy, but the rest of the staff was about average. The continental breakfast was basic, but a great first stop of the day.
The hotel was ok but should not be mistaken as 3-star as it was advertised. There is no cleanup during a stay. The bed was creaky and not very comfortable. The room was nicely designed but with carpeting that shows every stain and there were some. The shower curtain rod was loose on both ends and in danger of falling down. The price was right, though, and hard to beat. Just don't advertise as 3 stars.
The location of this lodging has the advantage of allowing a quick trip to Oakland Airport without going on any freeway or congested route. It is a bit obscure in its location in an office park, so you need to be on top of the directions. While the property itself was nothing to get excited about, it was quite acceptable.
I have stayed at this hotel on several business trips. The rooms are adequate, with a queen bed and sofabed. The kitchen is equipped with basics, but there is no dish liquid available. Breakfast is served in the lounge area, but they often run out of food before 8 am. They have a few bagels, oranges and apples. If you are lucky, at the beginning of the week, they have margarine and some no-name jelly. They previous liquid flavored creamers have been replaced with packets of no-name powder. The staff of the hotel is young and inexperienced. They are polite and do their best, but when confronted with any issues, they do not know what to do. The hotel common areas are clean, but basic. The ''fitness'' facility is a closet sized room with a treadmill, bike, and elip. Often, the laundry facilities are not working. The TV reception is terrible, and the channel selection is sparse. Housekeeping is excellent, the rooms are always very clean, and the housekeeping staff is always cheerful and polite. There are no restaurants nearby, and very little in the way of restaurant delivery. The neighborhood is an office complex. It is a safe neighborhood, but the front desk area is often unattended, especially at night. Ocassionally, guests prop open doorway access at the end of hallways. The front desk closes at 11 pm, but anyone can come in through the front door of the hotel.
