At Alnwick Cottages, we do our best to make you feel at home as soon as you step through the door. Our cottages are fully equipped with complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of fresh milk in the fridge. You will be greeted with fresh flowers and our welcome basket which contains a bottle of wine, chocolate and biscuits to help make sure that your holiday gets off to a great start. We believe that a good night?s sleep is essential to a happy holiday, so the beds all have great mattresses, and good quality, fresh cotton bedding and towels are also provided.There is a cosy living room with a lovely original feature stone fireplace and dining area. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The master bedroom features a pretty and very comfortable Laura Ashley iron bed and fitted wardrobe. The second bedroom has good quality solid beech adult size bunks with a fitted sleepover truckle underneath. The smart shower room has recently been redecorated and the cottage features a safe, pretty, private patio area, complete with garden furniture, that is suitable for young children. A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are available for those with small children. Gas and electricity is included and a Parking Permit is provided.The cottage is only minutes away from the world famous Alnwick Castle (home of Harry Potter and the 12th Duke of Northumberland!) and the Alnwick Gardens. Alnwick is a gateway town to the whole of the beautiful Northumbrian coast (Alnmouth beach is only 4.5 miles away) and wonderful countryside. Nearby towns and cities include Berwick-upon-Tweed (32 miles), Newcastle-upon-Tyne (35 miles) and Edinburgh (87 miles).
