For the price, it's not a bad place to stay for a night. The staff was attentive in the middle of the night and a warm breakfast is available in the morning.
The room appeared to be prepared very quickly. There were only blankets on the bed with no bed cover. The visit was during mid winter and the room heater took quite some time to warm the space.
Beds were clean. Staff was friendly. Many restaurants nearby. Easy to find. Easy to access. Front is covered and wide.
The doors to the rooms have huge gaps at the bottom. The gap lets in lots of light and sound from the hallway. The radio in the room kept popping randomly for no reason while it was off. If you're a light sleeper, there is no sleep to be had. The water would run in our shower when the unit above was taking a shower. I called two days ago about possibly leaving items in the room and haven't been called yet after I was told I would be called.
Comfortable bed, adequate breakfast
Room not clean, 1 dirty towel in bathroom, unfriendly front desk attendant
Worn out and delapidated property. Needs to be renovated or at minimum a good deep cleaning with ongoing attention to cleanliness and improved repairs to damaged items rather than the shoddy looking repairs that were evident in our room. On the upside, shower was hot and flowed nicely, bed didn't leave me in kinks...although I was hesitant to climb into it given the state of everything else!
Couldn't be easier access on and off I 40.
Outside window was all jacked up and could not be locked. Otherwise the room was ok.
Staff was fantastic
First room not serviced
Friendly staff that was very helpful even though their computer was down. Because of computer problems I was assigned a room that was under repairs but that was quickly resolved.
Somewhat difficult to get to because of service road lay out in Amarillo. Baymont can't be held responsible for freeway design.
It took us forever to find the place, the location that it was "reported" at was not the actual location any GPS took us to. When we got there, there was no lights on the signs, like all of the other businesses in Amarillo had on when we pulled into the city. The front desk was empty when we got there, with the lady attendant being on a computer surfing the internet. When we finally got our keys, the parking lot had NO out door lighting and the "secure" outside door would not close, no matter how hard you tried to push or pull it closed. The hallways smelled like someone had burnt beef stew, but the room was even worse. The room stunk of urine and cheap cleaner. There were stains, dark stains, everywhere, especially on the couch's bottom and the floor around it. There were other stains on the floor around the room, and the surfaces were COVERED in dust. And I am saying even down to the toilet paper holder, which had about a quarter inch of dust on it. The floor also had soft spots and dips in it. I couldn't even bring myself to sit on the bed. Tried the desk chair which just felt like it was about to fall apart. This was room 223. It took no longer than 15 minutes for me and my girlfriend, who were just passing through the night on our way from Phoenix back to in Kansas, to pack up our bags back in the car and leave. Unfortunately, the hotel said that they had a "no refund" policy, so I ended up paying $50+ NOT to stay there that night.
overnight stay. clean room, good food. I'd recommend it.
The room we were given had a broken shower! Really terrible.
Carpet stains, rusted fixtures, broken glass, stained sheets, it was worse than the Bates motel!
Back door unlocked no lights in parking lot room and bedding were dirty!!!
I liked the room..the breakfasts...the staff! My stay was perfect. I would recommend the Baymount Inn!
I had the perfect two day stay at the Baymount Inn! Zero complaints.
The price was good, the room was clean and got a pool and a exercise room.
You can't ask for more of a road motel.
I tried staying there twice because of the price but after the second time I wish I hadn't. My little sister and I were on a road-trip. The first time we arrived the computers were down, they had given our particular room to another but had a different one ready for us. No outlets unless you unplugged a lamp/tv/fridge. Room was OK for the price, somewhat grimy, but other than that not the worst place. Front desk was a mess though. She wanted me to sign a blank piece of paper for some promise to not smoke but I refused without having something printed out for me. Had to take stairs to our room with all our stuff with poor access during the rain, but not a huge deal. But for nearly the lowest price I thought Why not? We only need a bed.. so I booked again for our return back. On our return trip, We called 6 HOURS in advance to say we wouldn't be there until closer to 1am. The lady said that was fine, she would leave a note under our reservation. We arrive around 12:30/ 1 and I walk in and the guy rudely announces they have no vacancies. I tell him I have a reservation and we called 6 + hours ago to let them know when we arrived. He rolls his eyes and asks the name but says it doesn't really matter because they don't have a room. I asked him how that could happen and how the lady earlier couldn't have told us so that we weren't stranded, two girls, one 12, alone at 1 in the morning! He basically shrugged it off, offered no help, and told me that they have alerted the website to not charge for the room. I ended up spending 3x as much because most hotels were booked. We stayed at 2 am in a comfort inn & suites after going to several booked places. The front desk there said Baymont was where rooms are reasonable and the roaches come free. Pretty much sums it up.
It was convenient.
It was just an ok hotel. Nothing spectacular. Shower worked great, drain, not so great!
Location is good. Night Staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Morning staff were rude and reluctant to help. But it was decently cheap.
Room was dated and in disrepair. Toilet ran all night. Holes in shower curtain. Noise levels were bad. I could hear multiple conversations going on all around me.
I liked the price and it was clean and centrally located.
The dog down the hall barked all day. The toilet kept hanging and the water would run on so I had to go in every time my wife flushed to fix it. the tv remote wouldn't work with the tv. The swimming pool was closed.
Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.
beds were small (two double beds with no option for bigger). Price was high for advertised rates at many comparative hotels in the area.
run-down, low quality, smoke smell in hallways, our room was over air-freshened to cover up the musty moldy smell - my advcie is stay somewhere else!
Breakfast was great.
No elevator to upper rooms. If I am carrying something heavy like I do in other trips, I would find it inconvenient to go up, if lower rooms are full book.
