YES, THE WHOLE THING! WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR TO MY ROOM & OPENED THE DOOR, IT WAS AN OLD-MUSTY SMELL. THE WHOLE PLACED SMELLED! THEY SHOWED ME ANOTHER ROOM, WHICH THEY SAID WAS THE ONLY OTHER ROOM THEY HAD & IT WAS THE SAME. I WAY OVER PAID & WILL NEVERI WILL NEVER AGAIN STAY @ THIS HOTEL & AM NOT EVEN SURE I WILL USE PRICELINE AGAIN IF THIS IS THE CRAP THAT THEY GIVE. SERIOUSLY, I WOULDN'T PAY $20 FOR THIS CRAPPY, SMELLY HOTEL. THE BEDS/MATTRESSES WERE AWFUL. I THINK THE FLOOR WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE COMFORTABLE! VERY DISAPPOINTED & WISH I COULD HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF IT, BUT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Room smelled horrible, overall very dirty -Trash behind the tv, including an apple that looked 3yrs old -Not enough electrical outlets, have to unplug one thing to plug another in. -Holes/dents in drywall in room -Maids only changed sheets on 1 bedHorrible room, would not recommend to anyone.
Easy access to the hwy and to ISU. The price was affordable.
Free breakfast is nothing special. Toast, yogurt, coffee, tea and cereal. For the price this is a good value. The room was clean had a coffee make in it and was quite.
Good locationWe had a non-smoking double bed room. The room smelled like smoke and when we pulled back the covers on the bed, a bug was running around on the sheets. Both beds also had long black hair in the sheets as well. When mentioned to the front desk at check out, she said she would talk to her cleaning personal. No aplology, she actually said I could have brought the bug in or it could have come in from the window! Not a good experience.
it's a good location
the rooms on the lower level of humidity problems
dirty, beds were uncomfortable, pillows were terribleSecond time and last time I will stay there
The staff could not speak english well and walking into the hotel it smelled of sweat and sewage. Horrible. The front desk clerk took a phone call and talked in length about finding two mice somewhere in the hotel.See above... We refused to stay there.
Horribly dirty, didn't expect much but this place was really rotten.Broken plumbing, dirty upholstery, stained sheets, random hair in beds - switched rooms and the 2nd one was worse! Broken heater. Bathrooms dirty too. Maintenance guy was nice tho. Stayed in room 317 and 315.
the location was not bad, it was easy enough to get to all the bigger areas of town. The map location provided however was wrong.
The staff were hard to understand as they had very heavy accents and the breakfast buffet was awful. There is a ton to do in and around Ames and the hotel is easily located right of the highway. The hotel itself is nothing special, a room with a bed is about the best way to describe it. The staff were friendly but very hard to understand and the continental breakfast was just awful. We went to a local cafe called The Grove to eat each morning, totally worth the 10 minute drive from the hotel!!
Room/bathroom was neat and clean.
No bathroom in lobby. Stairs were dirty.Breakfast is nothing to write home about but it did get us through until lunch.
