the rate changedPros:Got what we asked for - a van, preferably the Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan (it was the Dodge). Vehicle was in okay shape and service was acceptable.Cons:The rate changed from what was quoted ($444 for 6 days) to what we were charged ($648), both before tax. I have taken up this issue with Avis customer service. VERY disappointed in that.Reviewed Sep 8 2018

Unable to get any vehicle in the class I reservedCons:We reserved a 7 passenger mini van as we had 7 passengers plus luggage for a family trip. When we arrived we were told no minivans were available (ummm isn’t that the point of a reservation???). We were given an arcadia with a “third row” we had to find out when we went to load up it had 6 seat belts. Called 8 different times and finally was told they would trade us out for a 7 passenger Ford Flex. When we came back to exchange, we were told the flex was gone, but we could have a 7 passenger Chevy, which had enough seat belts and room for luggage... That would have been fine, but he went to ring it up and it had a recall, so wouldn’t let us have it. They also had 3 minivans on site they “couldn’t rent”. We ended up having to squish a 3rd person illegally in the backseat without a seatbelt and terrible ride experience. If you can not honor your rental, don’t take reservations. Completely unacceptable.Reviewed Jul 30 2018
