Location. The Hotel Am Goldberg is located in Bad Blankenburg, Germany, 100 metres from the Thuringian Forest nature reserve, one kilometre from the ruined castle at Burg Griefenstein and 45 kilometres from the regional capital, Erfurt. Hotel Features. A country house hotel built in a timbered Tudor style with a central clock tower, the Hotel Am Goldberg is set in extensive grounds and surrounded by lawns and flowering shrubs. It was built in 1910 as a convalescent hospital, and features a modern health club with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a jetted tub and spa services, and a rooftop bar.
