We liked how close this was tot he train statin . it was one stop on OBB from the airport and a block from the U1 to the city.
Lots of construction in the area made it a little hard to get to it. but once we learned the location of the hotel we could navigate through it easily.
Location across from Vienna Hauptbahnhof. Good desk staff. Nice lobby, nice breakfast. Good air conditioning.
Kayak/ Get a Room advertise "Laundry Facilities' for this hotel. On arrival you are informed that this includes only an iron. There are NO laundry facilities and the hotel description needs to get real. The desk clerk came to our rescue by identifying a Laundromat about a 15 min walk away and open till 10pm. At first she refused to make change but then relented. In general, how primitive Europe remains when it comes to self-service laundry. In Japan EVERY hotel has a couple washers & driers. Bartender also refused to provide ice. Said he had none. Sure.
Smallest hotel room I've ever been in. Fortunately, it was adequate for a short-term layover.
breakfast and price
Nominal level of comfort, but absolutely sufficient. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast with quite a rich menu. Cleaning regular and discrete.
The booked room wasn't a 4 star room (it was dirty, spots from old furniture remained on walls, old furniture, not plesant smell inside, selenar view on window, like a tranzit room near hotel stairs). We found the cleaning stuff and we could analyzed 3 similar standard room and all had better conditions (cleaner, more space, normal smell). We have discussed that problem with the stuff, we asked them to change the room to a similar one but, only after 2 days, we was ables to change the room (paying a difference charge) to a superior one (that was relativly ok - it could be categorized as 4 stars: cleaner, warmer, with city-view on window). The buffet breakfast could be more diversified regarding the category of hotel (4 stars).
The location. Quite close to Vienna centre -25min by foot, 5min by metro. 10min walk to train station from where you can go to Vienna airport. Also the hotel is very close to Vienna internal highway so you can travel to the hotel by car and not being stuck in traffic jam.
10 EURO for the hour access to the internet and 17EURO for a day – this is very big disadvantage.
Clean, big and quiet room, very delicious breakfast ,
No private parking in hotel, but parking places around hotel aren't free all the time.
there was only one good thing. The location near sudbahnhof station.
The staff was condescending. The rooms were excruciatingly small. There was no airconditioning. The superior rooms have nothing superior about them. The windows are jammed shut and one cannot breath of claustrophobia. Horrible.
Very small room, not very well equipped
Close to public transport, ideal for one night stay. For longer stay would have chosen a hotel closer to centre of town. Good value for money.
