Although our main aim was to spend time in Bamberg, the Hotel was ideally placed for us just a few miles from Bamberg in a lovely peaceful location in the Bavarian countryside.
The staff were very friendly. Th beakfast was top notch. The decor was quaint, but sophisticated in a period style. Grounds were lovely. Very peaceful and, I imagine, romantic if with that someone special.
Despite their friendliness, the hotel management was very amateur. During check-in, I felt that I was talking to a boy - I'm still in my 20s! There were no wardrobes or drawers in the room to store clothes and no curtains in the bathroom, which had two very large, very clear windows. There was also a side door to my room, which I had to request to be locked...after he found the keys to let me in.
