nice large pool, access to computers, and close to skytrain station
if the staff were any more layed back they would be lying down, except when it came to making sure you paid the deposit! the price of the hotel mainly reflects the free use of pool and gym rather than the slightly outdated rooms
Probably the best hotel swimming pool in Bangkok : large (25 meter), refreshingly cold, with comfortable sunchairs.
The room is very basic, as the low price paid indicates (furniture is a bit old), but still large enough, almost clean, and with everything in it : Air cond., fan, cable TV, coffee/tea, window with view... Quite well located actually: near a 7/11 & the Skytrain station is just 6 mins away (walking). Allowing u to reach quite quickly and cheaply any place for tourists or shopping in the city (incl. the very close river boat's station in Saphan Taksin, which makes u reach Wat Po, Wat Arun or the Grand Palace - or Khaosan road - fast & nicely by a cheap, 14 baht boat).
the only thing i enjoyed about the hotel was the attached gym.
firstly when i arrived they demanded the room fee straight away but i informed them i would pay later or at checkout as i had booked through bookings .com and i had used my credit card only to secure the room.later on when i returned to pay the fee in cash the receptionist told me che had already charged the full amount to my credit card.she had no righr to do this but she then wanted a further 500 baht in cash as a deposit.i honestly couldnt explain what the deposit was for as she had already charged my credit card.finally our room was littered with cockroaches
A better breakfast, and I wish it located in a better space. I think the pool was not free ( I don't use and I don't know if it is not). using computers also was not free and I thought it was a little expensive for one who wanted to work for hours.
It's location. Going to city center by taxi took at least one hour.
The location is okay (if you know were it is). 5 min walk from S8 skytrain station. The pool is awsome. Rooms are clean, and the staff is very polite and helpfull.
No capdrivers or locals knew the location of the hotel. Our room were clean but had the interior design of a post Berlin-Wall eastern Motel. The resturant breakfast is below average both for quality and price.
