Queen Charlotte s Orangery was the 1817 home of Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George 3rd. It has a rich history, with wonderful rooms around an Italianate courtyard garden - all the luxury of a 5-star hotel, but with a personal touch. Although quite small, The Orangery is one of the finest guest houses in Bath. It is on Sydney Place, which is the street where the novelist Jane Austen once lived. It is situated within an 8-minute flat walk from Bath s historic city centre of shops, restaurants and attractions including the infamous Roman Baths and Pump Room. Breakfast at The Orangery is served in either the rotunda atrium or the garden. Private functions for up to 25 guests can be accommodated. The Queen Charlotte s Orangery is a strictly non-smoking establishment. Any contravention incurs a £100 surcharge. We regret we cannot accept children.
