The hotel advertises free parking for guests - in reality this is used by the hotel staff - one cleaner came and told me I couldn't park where I intended to as she needed to park there and she couldn't afford to park on the road. I paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel and its not my problem if the hotel staff cant afford the road parking.
The redcar was in the perfect location for christmas market.

Extremely disappointed with lack of facilities and shabbiness of rooms /lobby. Very limited choice of drinks at bar and no draught beer. No breakfast available. Central heating not working - room on arrival was absolutely freezing.
The bedrooms were in a very shabby condition, curtains hanging off the rail, lamp split and dented, cracked tiles in the bathroom, carpet fraying. The bedrooms were too dark
Unable to use bath as plug was on short chain and wouldn't fit plugholeKettle was unusable, full of dirt/black dust-revolting
No Breakfast. condition of rooms. Need modernising
The staff were excellent and very welcoming
Maybe lacked one or two finishing touches such as shampoo/ shower gel and additional glass for water rather than only cups.
Room more of an attic on 3rd floorwith more like a cupboard for a bathroom. It was ok but would not have thought so if we had not had a discounted price.
The central location; easy walk to everything in an attractive neighborhood.
The fact that it was difficult to make a phone call, as the in-room extension was not connected and it was inconvenient to make calls via the front desk.
