Confirmed my rental 3 days in advance as I had made a change in time of pick up - not a problem at all. Got to location at appropriate time, paperwork was easy as ever to do, owner went around to get my car - I had been "Upgraded"!!!!!!!! ( I am sure he did not have my original grade there on site = Nissan Rogue.). I was given a Ford Edge = nice! Included was Sirius radio!. Car was great. Could have been cleaned inside a little better, but hard to keep up with all the pine pollen that had started flying around. Thanx for the nice ride Hertz!2.0 Poor

Wring car, didnt care, no discount, then the crappy wrong car had NO GAS in the tank. Took it back next day ans went with Avis. Now i am still being billed for Hertz.2.0 Poor

Cons:
I was told there was no car available for me and that I could wait to see if they had anything the next day. Then they were shocked i wanted to cancel the reservation. I had planned a cross country trip and needed to leave early in the morning the next day. So I was left scrambling to find another car from another business. Luckily the Budget counter had something for me and they were able to help me out. Now I know to go to Budget instead of Hertz in the future.9.6 Wonderful

Staff was so friendly in Beaufort! Both our pick-up driver (who was right on time!) and our agent who assisted us at the office. And drop-off was super-easy at the Savannah airport.Cons:

I scheduled my drop off for 1pm on Sat. When I picked up, no one told me the office closed at noon on Saturdays and I was required to leave the vehicle and use the drop off keys box.8.8 Very good

I made a reservation and specifically asked there was a car available on the phone while speaking to a person, not the computer, but when I arrived to pick my car up there was not a car there!!! When I questioned the attendant, he said there was nothing he could do for me. Consequently, I ended up spending over $100.00 more than I should have because another rental (Hertz) said they only had a van. I believe this should be Alamo'so responsibility. I also believe the attendant could have been much more helpful! He at least could have checked with all the other rental companies to see if there was a cheaper option. I would really like a response!!!7.6 Good

I am 24 so I accept that I needed to pay an extra fee. However, when I booked, I correctly input my age. I was not charged the fee until I actually picked up the car which I found frustrating. Also, there was no cruise control.10.0 Wonderful

Huge line. Booked few hours earlier but they had no record of my booking. Had to wait for clerk to call her manager, leave a voice mail, then wait for him to call back in order to get a car. Didn't get the car I wanted. Didn't get a receipt, temporary registration, or any documentation from Alamo or Kayak. Initially told car had a full tank but was only half full. The clerk also told me the insurance I bought through Allianz didn't cover damage to the car despite that being incorrect, then she charged be for Alamo insurance without my consent which I had to call to get a charge back a few days later to correct. Terrible experience.10.0 Wonderful

My plane was delayed for a couple hours. When I realized this I called the rental office (it took quite some time for them to answer) and told them I would be delayed. They assured me that there would be someone there when I arrived. When I got there the office was closed and I had to wait until the next day to pick up my rental car. The next day they offered no apologies or explanation and still charged me the original amount for the full rental.2.0 Poor

There was no cruise control. This was not stated to me at check-in. Yet the agent asked where I am going. I was traveling over 800 miles in 2 days. The agent asked me about other things. The brakes pulled a little. Gas mileage on an small car was not great. There was a refundable $200 deposit that was never told to me before I booked the car. They had my credit card. Why do they hold $200. I am not a new driver. Had better experience with other car rental companies in the past.8.0 Very good
