Locationcontinental breakfaststaff friendly and helpful
More selections for breakfast
Smelled a little.
The front desk was friendly
This hotel should in no way be listed as a 3 star property! Old and in need of a makeover!
Staff was friendly
The fitness room was not available
The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable
The hd TV was terrible. The pool wasn't heated. Mildew on ac unit. Odd smell. Coffee was bad.
The bed were comfortable.
The room was average. The A/C leaking water everywhere and there was mold in the ceiling but they painted over it. It was odd.
It was very clean and had no smoke smell. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. Bed and pillows were great.
Very nice room, bed is very comfortable. Location is very convenient. Plenty of free parking.
Internet connection was very spotty. It was hard to use it consistently. They finally fixed it just before we left. Elevator is soooo slooow. Nearby train tracks make it very noisy occasionally when train goes by.
The staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The room was comfortable.
I could definitely hear my neighbors. An outdoor patio area would have been nice.
The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good as well.
The only recommendation I might make is to have a few more TV channels.
Great place. House keeping did great. Will stay again. Spent 5 days.
Gilbert the night clerk is a very nice young man. He was able to answer any question. He was helpful. We stay at quite a few hotels and having GILBERT at your front desk is a reason we prefer your hotel. Thank you
Location is good. Plenty of parking space available.
Hotel interior is old. Paints are coming off. Fitness center is simply a track mill and an elliptical.
Great value for the price
The room was clean, the hallways were as well.
Staff who immediately steal forgotten belongings.
Breakfast, Wifi, and Parking
Breakfast should be till 10 am
Pool listed in PL Express Deal was closed for season. Free b'fast mentioned in PL Express Deal was non-existent.
Bed was comfortable
I stayed here last week and wouldn't have stayed again but had already booked it. I flew into Portland and had a reservation at a Comfort Inn at PDX and it was a very nice hotel/motel. I thought all Comfort Inn's would be the same....not so....
The bathroom was big, and the tv was nicer than I was expecting.
The room smelled very strongly--some off-putting odor.
Person at the desk.
Room given was supposed to be ready but the window was open, wet towels on the floor, dirty dishes and cups, beds not made. Didn't realize that the rooms didn't have microwaves.
Shuttle service was not good at all. We were dropped off at the Beaverton TC but even though the driver told us he will pick us up, the receptionist said they do not offer pick up from station. We had to go to airport early morning but the shuttle was not
Low price, convenient location
Room needs some update. The walls and doors are paper thin, I was woken up by two ladies talking outside of our room, and weren't even talking too loud
there was no tv reception, the front desk person came to fix it and acted like it was fixed , but it was NOT. and she was rude about fixing it and the housekeeping was knocking on the door next to us at 6am and running the vacuum and no sleep!!!!
The staff was very accommodating. The original room that I was placed in had mold on the bathroom and smelled musty. I asked them for another room and they upgraded me at no charge. I examined the room and it was clean and didn't smell. The location was convenient, just off the 217. The hotel shares the parking lot with a Black Bear Diner, which is quite good. You can tell that it is an old property and it is on the verge of needing a complete remodel. Some of the doors don't close all the way, the closet door in my room fell off, the light fixture between the beds stopped working for a day and the water on the bar sink did not work.
My brother lives a mile away. We dropped him off and came in at midnight. Clerk was nice enough. My son fully enjoyed the morning breakfast.
Room looked a bit run-down, or a bad remodel. Grout on floor tiles, small rips in wallpaper.
The first room we were given was smoke infested, but we were given another that was nice.
The hotel was very clean and in an area we needed to be in. Our daughter lives in the area and had our first grandchild while we stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. The breakfast was very good and plentiful.
While the room was very nice you could hear everything in the floor above us. It almost sounded like there were in our room. People above us were talking and laughing at 3am and pool was right below us so not always a good sleep. No fridge in our room.
The hot breakfast was a nice treat from the typical continental breakfast that many hotels offer.
There were lots of mini ants in my hotel. They were crawling on my legs and were on nearly every surface. When I left the hotel, they evidently had crawled in my handbag, as they were on my desk at work and I saw a couple in my car (yikes!!!)
the staff always made sure we had clean bedding. the rooms are to a decent size. and it was always nice to have the pool.
Nice place to stay for the money- clean hotel, clean room, clean bathroom; breakfast in the morning had a decent spread; altho there is an excellent restaurant right across the parking lot- The Black Bear. The pool is outdoors- which is a slight bummer b/c even when we stayed in August it was too chilly to swim outdoors. We checked in very late at night, and there was no parking left in the underground/covered area- so we were a little far from the door, and the person at the front desk was not very understanding as to why we didn't know the license plate # on our rental car. After flying cross country and spending hours at a relatives house, we didn't feel like walking back out doors to get it, and she didn't want to deviate from 'the rules' at all. Also- the washer and dryer were out of order. All in all- we would stay there again.
As I drove up to the hotel, I thought that even if I hadn't had a reservation, it was a place that I would like to stay. It appeared neat and well maintained. The room was clean and the people were friendly.
While preparing for bed I noticed an ant crawling on the nightstand. I thought okay one ant won't bother me. Opened the nightstand drawer and pow! a whole tribe. Called front desk they said they would send someone over, after 30 minutes I had to go to the office to get spray. That didn't help any it seemed that ate that stuff for dinner because more came out from somewhere else. Couldn't get them to move us to another room so I didn't get a good night sleep. Will NEVER stay here again. Room smelled of smoke when it was supposed to be non-smoking.
I checked in today at 3:00 pm. They are paving the parking lot at the hotel. The work is right outside my room and is extremely noisy. It is still going on WELL BEYOND 6:00 pm (the time the front desk said the work would be done when I called and complained). My main complaint is that when I checked in, there were 6 cars in the parking lot. There was NO need to put me in a room directly next to the grinding/scraping/banging noises that were occurring outside. The front desk was well aware of the noise level because my room is right near the front office and they heard it too at check-in. There are sufficient rooms available and I should have been placed away from the noise. This was very inconsiderate on their behalf. When I called to complain, the least they could have done was offer me a room across the hall where no work is being done. Instead, I was told ''no worries''. At least 50% of the rooms are away from the work and are available. DON'T STAY HERE, THEY DON'T CARE.
We found this hotel as we were passing through town and we were very glad we did! This facility was very clean, room was very nice, staff was helpful and the hot breakfast was super! There is also a great restaurant next door that is out of this world! ( Black Bear Diner) there was some construction going on but it looks like this hotel is really doing some great improvements and we will definitely stay here again when we come to town!
The site is under some exterior remodeling, which makes the place look like a dump. I understand this, but getting into the office and my room really showed what this place was really like: a dump. Walking down to the elevator outside the joint, really showed what this place was all about. Then walking into my room to the musty smell, really told me what I was in for. I work for a painting company, and even our traveling paint crews would not stay here, as they tell me: 'it is all about the smell'. \n\nThen, I realized that my air condition did not work. They changed my room at 12:00 a.m. This sucked....but I had to do it to keep sane.\n\nDo not stay here if you are not a cheesy tourist!
Although the hotel had recently been redcorated, the smoking rooms/floor needed additional attention. Very strong odor and dirty. Also, very noisey, as it sits right off a very busy road and across the street from a railroad track and crossing!
