We enjoyed the spa and swimming pool. And the staff was very helpful and very service minded.
We did not like that a place like the Marriott turned off the air conditioning ,in the beginning of October, during the evening. We woke up sweating and that was not a pleasant experience for us. Our room was approximately 25 degrees celsius and we felt that was too hot. We called the service manager and he stated that they turn the ac off due to Chinese customers complaining that its too cold, Never mind the fact that there is a thermostat in each room so that everyone can control it.
The location is not very convenient and services do not correspond to a five star hotel.
It is widely spread hotel, with all lavish and grandeur in interiors.Stay, food, service level is upto the mark.
The relaxed atmosphere in the public areas. The executive lounge and the dining options.
I was upgraded to Executive Room upon checkin, a pleasant surprise as I was told the room was slightly bigger than the room I have booked. Room was tastefully decorated, the Ipod deck make the difference as I could just plug in my Ipod and enjoy my music in the room. Hotel was within 5 minutes walk to subway and train station, and is within 10 minutes taxi ride to Forbidden City and CBD area. Perfect!
the in-room internet charge of RMB 120 was a little too high, could have been complimentary.
