The restaurant was very nice. Easy parking once you knew where it was.
We were shown to the "Executive Suite" across the street. They have to show you where it is because the building is not labeled, and the room numbers not intuitive. (612L is on the second floor). The room appeared to be newly decorated. The first thing we noticed was that the television didn't work. There was no maintenance person on duty, so the desk clerk attempted to fix it, and was unable to. The internet was very weak (perhaps because we were across the street from the main hotel). The real nightmare was the bathroom. There was a jacuzzi tub, which my daughter wanted to take a bath in, but the cold water didn't appear to be connected, so she had to fill the tub with hot water, then wait for an hour to cool so she could get in. When she turned on the jets, one of the jets pointed straight up, creating a fountain which soaked the bathroom floor before she could get it turned off. The separate shower had an adjustable head, which was set at about chin height. When my husband tried to adjust the head, the entire thing came off in his hands. Only then did we realize that half of the hardware was missing. Oh, and the sofa was stained. So was the iron.
the room was beautiful
Staff could not have been nicer, especially on reception. Lee Ann, on Sunday morning even came out to the snow covered car park to help guide me out. Bar food was great and reasonably priced. Free car parking - great.
The hotel was great for shopping trips to Belfast. The rooms are clean & staff are friendly. Also they have free parking which in city centre hotels is a plus
The lift is small & they don't have luggage trolleys to help bring your bags to the room
We were given an upgrade to an executive room which was great. Very comfortable and spacious. It ticked all the boxes. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is situated in a quiet leafy area yet close to city centre and all its amenities (15 min. walk). Free parking was a great add on since parking is expensive in Belfast.
If you have a room to the front on the first floor, above the bar and lounge, there can be noise till quite late at night. We were there on a weekend and the bar was pretty busy on Fri and Sat. We are good sleepers so it didn't really affect us but it could easely affect lesser sleepers.
Lovely hotel close to the University. Pleasant and friendly staff. No problems at all during our 1 night stay.
Comfortable and spacious room
Noise form the street
The hotel staff were wonderful so friendly and accomodating - nothing was too much bother for them. The hotel itself is beautifully kept, clean and very comfortable - I loved just lounging on the big sofa's in the hotel lobby people watching and soaking in the atmosphere.
The rooms were very warm even with the heating off and there was a continious quite loud hum which would keep you awake if you did not have the foresight to bring ear plugs!
location quite far from the city centre
The staff were excellent..from the reception staff to the bar staff, very friendly and welcoming!
Quiet location, pleasant staff, large & comfortable room
