The boutique and designer Hotel Sofitel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt is considered to be one of the most elegant addresses in the heart of the bustling capital. The small, unique boutique hotel, with 70 rooms and 22 suites designed by Harald Klein, combines minimalist Cocoon design with unique details, such as the play of light and shadow and of glass and black marble.
Movies option on TV didn't work even after staff member came to the room to reboot. The only option they gave was to switch rooms. Hot chocolate extremely overpriced at €7.50
Very nice welcoming and service from the reception. Especially a man between 30-35 years (do not remember his name but he surely remembered mine during the whole stay) who made an outstanding impression. I really loved the design of the gym and especially the rings.
The only thing I missed in the room was body lotion. With the new airport rules it is difficult to bring if you don't want to check in. Breakfast to expensive-you don't need a huge breakfast -a quality cup of coffee, fresh orange juice and newly baked bread is enough and for that 26 Euro is to much!
Room service even in the afternoon for towels refreshment
The sofitel berlin is nice
The concergerie, they are terrible, they don't help you to find anithing because they don't know anithing about Berlin, and they send you to the worst places in berlin
Use of the Wellness/Fitness centre
The poor quality of the food and coffee served by the roomservice
the location was great and the room was very nice. the decor was beautiful
the room service was lacking (did not tidy up the room , soaps were constantly lacking). second problem was that there wasnt an electric pot (to make coffee or tea) in the room - something that is standart in 5 stars hotel
