|Best Western Scenic Hill Resor...|
The spa. Had a great massage. Otherwise, it was just average. It was just an average place to spend the night. More expensive through Priceline than we could have received dealing directly with hotel. We didn't realize at the time of booking and won't use Priceline again.
Night staff was not very receptive when we checked in, needs to work on customer service skills. Morning staff at check out was awesome, needs to give night staff lessons. thank you
Easy access to room (1st floor, by exit door)
Much confusion on the price of the room. We got double billed. Once by Priceline and once by hotel. Credit issued by hotel. Priceline charged $25.93 MORE than the price the hotel charged! For a northern hotel in a very, very small town, it's a very nice hotel. Served an OK breakfast. Easy to find. Easy access to room. Inconvenient pop machine (only one was on 2nd floor).
not too big. easy access to building and good parking.
The staff seemed suspicious of people and not generally happy to be working there. No uniforms, or name badges made it difficult to discren who worked there and who did not????Clean, ust what I was looking for. Did not spend much time in the room, but seemed very sufficient.
This was a great hotel, with a great location. The staff was the best. They went beyond what most hotels would do when it comes to customer service.Only one thing caught our attention. That was the continental breakfast. It was very good. It's just if you want to enjoy it, you need to set an alarm, because it is only until 9am. We noticed other parties did not set their alarm, and ended up walking away without breakfast shaking their heads. We take vacations to relax and sleep in and not have to set an alarm if we want breakfast. Other than that, we would recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area.
knowledgeable staff, pool was larger than most motel pools
carpet needed to be cleanedwe would stay there again. They told us they were going to replace carpets in the winter. Golf courses near by . Near Crystal Lake and about 20 minutes from Sleeping Bear dune area The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about area
Hotel staff not knowledgeable. WiFi poor/inconsistent. Pool was cloudy and filthy. Breakfast was awful/frozen/dry. Room key-cards didn't work. Definitely NOT a 'resort.'NEVER stay here. We were shocked with how terrible this hotel was, especially for this high of price per night.
The room was decent and comfortable.
The staff was nice, but not helpful. I gave this hotel a low rating for not being adequately supplied. We were traveling as a family and they didn't have any cribs or pack n' plays for our one year old to sleep in. We had to put him on the floor. This hotel was okay. Good location for seeing Sleeping Bear dunes, the lighthouse and Lake Michigan. Good restaurants are hard to find or at least a 30 minute drive to Traverse. Papa J's diner was the best we could find nearby.
