Proximity to the village.
The resort is currently being renovated so it was a little noisy during the day and a little dirty from the construction going on. But don't let this scare you away from this gem.
The staff was super helpful and it was right next to the village!
They were remodeling which made it a little chaotic.
Staff and Remodel.
Location next to the village with restaurants and shops. Can walk 10 minutes to the lake.
The top floor rooms have a small high window so only get a small view of the tree tops and sky. Top floor rooms are small but adequate. I gave public space low rating for now only because they are renovating but once it's done it should be nice.
We have stayed there before and enjoyed our stay. We like its' location and there is plenty of room to park.
Nice and clean
Fireplace in the room; location to Big Bear Village, shops and restaurants
The lobby and restaurant were under construction, which we did not know about when booking the hotel.
The atmosphere of the hotel is great, I have stayed in cabins in big bear but prefer the cabin like room at the resort.
The hotel is under renovation. Amenities listed were closed. Room smelled. Fire alarm goes off two out of the three nights.
The location to the village
-Staff promised things and then said no because I was in an 'economy' room when there really wasn't any other room options on the site.
We have stayed here before and have always had a pleasant time. They are remodeling so it was a little torn up, but should be really nice when done.
I loved the decor in the rooms. Many things made of wood. It gave a forest feel to the experience. It was quiet but full of guests.
The ice machine was broken on our floor. There was remodeling going on in the lobby and public rest rooms. We had a hard time getting the tv to work and had to make two calls to the lobby for help. The adjoining restaurant was fair and had a B rating.
The location was perfect. I liked that there was a restaurant in the hotel. The gym, pool, and jacuzzi were great amenities.
THE LOCATION, IT IS RIGHT THERE IN THE VILLAGE
ROOMS ARE PARTIALLY UPDATED, COULD USE A NEW COUNTERTOP AND PLUMBING FIXTURES
Restaurant was fantastic. Proximity to Village was great.
Pool area too small. Hallways had a musty smell.
Service was great. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Hotel was showing it's age. Bed was horribly worn out, with a huge depression. Carpet was worn and torn in places, etc. Duct tape on broken tile. Staff said Holiday inn is taking over. Hope they get it back to the way it used to be.
The check in was very quick and the staff was pleasant. The pool was heated and the spa was clean. Lobby of the Hotel check in was clean and neat. The Hotel was within walking distance to down town.
The hallways to room were messy & the carpet was stained & had bulges to trip on. There was construction material in the hallways. Noise in hallway was very audible.
The look of it and location is what i like best
The old carpet has to go
I have stayed here about 15 times and always enjoy the experience. The rooms are nice, and the staff is great!
They had a car show on the weekend we stayed and it kind of ruined the experience. People were loud and they were rude and dirty. While walking down the hallway to our room we smelled dope smoke and heard slamming doors all night!
Room was too small to accommodate a king size bed. Felt very claustrophobic due to room size, bed was very stiff, TV was small, and Wi-Fi wasn't very good either. They also over charged me $150 for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
It was within walking distance of downtown, many shops and restaurants, as well as BIg Bear Lake. The bed was comfortable, there was good storage and everything was clean.
The mini fridge was out in the open and made a lot of noise, it on also took up too much space on the biggest available table. The pool and spa area is not private and needs to be cleaner and repair the surfaces because they are cracked and peeling.
Spacious, comfortable, clean. Close to everything in downtown. Staff was friendly, courteous, took care of extra things we needed.
There was no main lobby to sit in. It had lots of buffet tables set up. No lounge chairs or sofa. The internet service wasn't working.
