If you seek elegant accommodation in Blois, France, consider the Saint-Jacques Hotel. Blois is a beautiful city and a lovely place to explore. You can visit the Château de Blois, which is a Renaissance château. King Louis XII once resided here and it is a mere 2 minutes' walking from the hotel. You can also walk to the city’s historic center, take a stroll along an 18th-century stone bridge that spans the Loire River, or visit the Forêt de Russy, which are heavy woods at the edge of Blois. Pets are welcome.
--proximity to train station (practically right across the street), main reason we chose this hotel --breakfast had fresh bread and croissants
--no lift --noise from train station (and traffic in morning) --witless washroom design: shower only had half door covering tub rim --bed too old and soft --breakfast too pricey for limited selection offered
Limited reception and front door facilities
Friendly atmosphere; proximity to the train station; reasonable rates; access to the internet.
Railway station is to close.
Convenient to the train station. It is a bare bones kind of place good for a night stay if you are arriving late. There are nicer places for a little more money. However, the staff/owners were very freindly.
