Hotel staff & location were perfect, one of the friendliest owners I have come across.
I/we liked the fact that this hotel really is run by a family. We were greeted by the mother of the family, who told us immediately, she didn't speak English, but that her daughter did, and would answer any questions we had the following morning. It was late by that point, and we were grateful for a quiet night, and very comfortable bed.
We found this hotel to be in a good location as the view from our balcony of Lake Garda was lovely. Brenzone was a short bus ride to the larger town of Malcesine where there is a cable car/castle. Not really much to do (other than relax!) in Brenzone. The breakfast was ok but not the best, although not really sure what is expected of a typical Italian Breakfast. We asked for a double bed but only had two singles pushed together, not bad but had to mind the gap!
We liked the welcoming feel during the whole stay. Lorena and her family make you feel right at home. We had a beautifull large room with a big terrace with views on the lake! Allthough the design is not very modern, it is very clean and well kept. The food is very good for the price you pay and what we appreciated the most, was the very big smile on the faces of all the staff, which is something you don't find so much in Italy. I really recommend this hotel if you're looking for a stay as close as possible to the lake (3 metres from your terrace).
overlooking the lake every time i looked out
the menu could have had a bit more choice
We particularly liked the location and views from the hotel. It was an ideal location for touring Lake Garda either by car or by catching one of the many boats available from Malcesine. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough. The meals were not overly expensive and we ate there a few times during our stay.
We were disappointed with the shower as the cubicle was very small and the water was not very hot. We requested a bath and bath robes unfortunately we didn't get either of these. breakfast finished at 9.30 which we felt was a bit early when you are on holiday. also on the Sunday night we had a slight problem getting an evening meal at 9.00pm even although meals should have been served till 9.30.pm.we had read on a review that the pillows were hard.... we would have to agree with this..
The owners were warm, allthough at first there were some misunderstandings with our room, they certainly made up for it later. Good food, awesome view and surroundings
Just a warning, if you are getting there from the east, Venezia, Padova, etc. do not follow the GPS, it will go up the mountains through a very steep road
Very nice, clean and not expensive hotel at the Lake with a wonderfull restaurant (home made bread!). A beautifull place for holidays.
