Location is good. Very quiet area with excellent transport links to the city centre. Large appartment with good facilities. Needed to stay an additional night due to chaos with Eurostar. Staff were excellent in sorting out our needs and we stayed an extra night at the same discounted rate. Reception staff were always very helpful.
The internal soundproofing could be better; a noisy family were in the appartment above and could be heard late into the night. Cleaning staff opened a window which was left open all day with temperatures at -10C! You breakfast in the Rennaisance hotel next door, and whilst breakfast is excellent, the staff are constantly hovering to take your plate away. Hint- take breakfast early as it gets very busy.
The overall standard was good.
We requested adjacent rooms when we booked. It was so important to us that I telephoned the hotel 10 days before arrival to re(iterate this request and was assured that it was duly noted. We were meeting family for a weekend break - we live in different countries. With a small child we could only socialise with family in the evenings and use the baby monitor in adjacent rooms. We were not given adjacent rooms - the rooms were on different floors. Despite numerous requests and explanations the hotel refused to help. They were extremely unhelpful and made us wait almost 2 hours before they refused, yet again, to help. They told us that check in was busy so we'd have to wait! Even when we offered to pay a supplement to be moved into adjacent rooms they refused to help telling us that by now (2 hours after our initial request) the hotel was completely full! This meant that we were unable to spend evenings together - the whole point of the trip. The heating in our apartment did not work at all. It was very cold and we had to rely on plug in electric heaters which were hot and dangerous for our toddler. There was no kettle as advertised. Several light bulbs did not work. The remote control for the television in the bedroom did not work. The dishwasher was dangerous as it was not secured into position and , in fact, tipped up on 2 occasions.
Wonderful, spacious and perferctly clean rooms, very well furnished, kitchen with all amenities, excellent position, extremely comfortable beds. I really appreciated the calm - nevertheless the hotel is in the city centre - and the direct access from the parking to the rooms, without having to pass through the reception every time. Perfect for business and family trips, especially for longer stays.
Just one remark: in the parking, there are certain high sidewalks and level changes which are not painted and are hardly distinguishable from the pavement.
You are paying a room rate for a suite. Also is a quiet, safe zone of Brussels.
the building is 1/2 block from the Renaisance where you make the check in and out. The building only have one person of staff from 8AM to 3PM.(and is out for lunch from 12- 1PM)and nobody on the weekends There is no breakfast in the building, only at the hotel
The apartment was spacious. Good furnishings. Excellent Breakfast. Got it for a very good price
No Steam bath as advertised. Very limited staff.
