Located in the prestigious Recoleta district, The Brick Hotel Buenos Aires is the perfect place for business meetings, conferences and social events. Characterized by its exquisite cuisine and friendly service, the hotel features 175 elegant and spacious rooms with welcoming and warm decor. Other services include the Agraz restaurant, Tea Lounge, Cheers Bar and La Patisserie.
The facade of the hotel is nothing special- a 19 or 20 story brick building; however, the lobby is very pretty with spiral staircases and marbe pillars. The rooms are a good size and very clean.
They charge for the internet, for the water in the room, for the coffee machine in the room, and they charged me $20 US dollars for a collect call to my credit card company. Given that this is one of the more expensive hotels in Buenos Aires, this type of nickel and diming of guests is offensive. When you enter the hotel there are always 5 or 6 people waiting to open the door, yet when I could not set up the wireless connection and was connected to the business center,no one answered the phone-prefer having good service rather than the appearance of good service. The gym, which is advertised as state of the art, consists of a few treadmills and bikes and a universal machine and a few dumbells.Shower took 15 mins to get warm.
The location in a lovely part of Buenos Aires, design of the hotel public rooms and guest rooms, and staff were all excellent.
Possibility of early checking in and late checking out without any difficulty
No real lunch or dinner facilities in the hotel
