The Meliá Buenos Aires hotel is located in the modern Catalinas area, only a few yards away from the famous Florida Street and the elegant Plaza San Martin, making it ideal for business or leisure travelers. The hotel's privileged location gives guests a chance to walk to the great restaurant options in Puerto Madero, Calle Florida Peatonal or the exclusive Recoleta. Just a few minutes from the financial district of Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana. The hotel is located 35 km from the Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) and 7 km from the local airport.
Location is ok, breakfast is great.
The Staff was sort of angry the entire visit; from front desk to room service (note - housekeeping was good although there was no interaction with myself) ,I felt unpleasantly greeted. Miscellaneous notes- the fitness room is mediocre not because of the equipment but because there is no ventilation in the basement where the pool and gym are- which made it very difficult to breathe while running/ working out.
Great room for the price
The location can't be beat. Across the street from bars and a Subway and close to the best restaurants in town. Tours pick you up at the hotel. Plus, as you're aware, the exchange rate is a challenge. Although the official exchange rate is 8 to 1USD, the hotel offered 11. This was a huge help as it's not as good at shady black market outlets will give you at 13, but it prevents you from having to go to these places.
The host at breakfast was a total jerk. Staff in general could use an attitude adjustment, but this guy takes the cake. The doormen were the only people that showed any interest at all.
the staff and the acomodations
great location and breakfast... nice, confortable rooms. Very friendly hotel staff.
An excellent hotel with excellent services; good location, close to the centre and several restaurants; excellent value for money
It was extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful with suggestions and directions for things to do and getting around Buenos Aires. It was our favorite hotel during our trip to Argentina. The complimentary breakfast was generous and excellent as well.
Breakfast is poor.
