Pros:The hotel was in a good location as far as access to main streets and freeways. Restaurants and gas stations were close by and within walking distance. The back rooms were quiet with no street noice. Wi-Fi was available with a good connection.Big TV with good reception and cable channels.Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful. Coffee was available at the front desk but only after 8:00 am.
Cons:The NEW 401 Inn wasn't so new. This is an old hotel with old furniture, light fixtures and beds. Bed spreads had visible burn holes and I had them replaced immediately. The replacements had burn holes also. It's been a long time since I'visited seen flat sheets on the bottom of the mattress instead of fitted sheets.The room needed a good cleaning-- walls washed and Windows cleaned. The room did not have any carpeting and I had to ask the front desk to tell the maid to wash the floor. I could see it was dirty. The bathroom door and wall next to the door showed finger prints and dirt from constantly being touched. I had to clean the door and wall myself so I didn't have to look at other people's finger prints.. We asked to have the shower head changed, which they did. My husband had to secure the toilet seat because it was loose. This hotel is okay for someone who can not afford the high priced hotels in this city and does not expect top quality lodgong.

Cons:paid for mtn view, given room with no view. had to ask to switch, and point out i paid for view. not close to much. noisy traffic. sliding door to outside will not close/lock. dirty glass in wrapper. freezer full of frost in fridge also noisy from adjoining rooms housekeeping tried to come thru at 9am missing light in bathroom
