The staff was accommodating
The location was good.
They put us by elevator and put up a fuss when we asked for another room. The showers were pretty dirty.
Great breakfast, perfect location for the Stampede!
Needs to be updated.
It was in a good location for us and the price was good.
The breakfast food was terrible and there was only one person on when we got to the hotel and a line up. It took way too long to get through the line up to our room.
The furniture was nice, the lobby was warm and welcomih
The bed was so hard I may as well have slept on a rock. My mother and I barely slept.
Everywhere was clean.
Some parts of the hotel were looking dated, but were well cared for.
As a traveller I've stayed in dozens of motels/hotels around the world but I must give this motel credit. It had a shower switch that had me completely stumped. By the loose conditions of the faucet controls I think it stumped a lot of people
staff was friendly
the skittles spread across the room floor, we mentioned it to front desk and didn't get vacuumed till 3rd day
nice room, breakfast was good, and fantastic sliding pool for kids!!
It was a hotel trapped in the eighties... Old room furnishings...Carpet outdated... Would not recommend this to my worst enemy!!
Great location, free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast. A really good deal.
Good location to shopping and restaurants. Very close to Chinook Mall.
Breakfast had good selection but the hot portion was of poor quality. Sausage patties were tastless, potatoes were tater tots and scrambled eggs were substandard.
It was relatively easy to find and had good street access. Pleasant staff and surprisingly updated lobby, facilities and room. Free hot breakfast was as good as you get in some restaurants and included in the stay at the hotel.
My room was not completely cleaned prior to acquiring it. The bath room was disgusting and appeared as if someone had been using the room for quite a while!
Front desk clerk was very personable & made us feel welcome.)%
I have been to this hotel a few times already.. Simply and clean rooms just like most comfort inn and suites are but what made this one stand out is the staff are just very friendly. I will keep going back here every time I go to Calgary!
The location was kind of in a weird spot but it still works.
The staff tried really hard to please.
I was excited to get a 2.5 star hotel as opposed to the 1 stars I usually stay at however this time i'd of rather stayed at the T ravelodge down the road for half the cost and only a 1 star rating. Public spaces/hallways are freezing/ breakfast not great.
Clean and good quality beds.
Nothing at all.
I was charged extra to have 2 beds in the room when the hotel was not busy at all! I was told that Priceline booked it that way. The opposite has happened to me. It seems that what you want, they give the opposite or charge you. Not impressed.
Spacious rooms, good location, and the free breakfast was more than adequate.
Nothing. It was all good.
Staff very friendly. Check in was easy. I liked the breakfast in the morning as oppose to going outside the hotel.Enjoyed the coffee in the lobby during off hours. The location is near many other good restaurants and businesses for south Calgary area.
The rooms are dated. The hotel bathroom does not flush properly. the bathroom door hinges squeak when you open them. The sink in bathroom takes half an hour to empty. The Air condition makes a racket noise. Hard to fall asleep.
Too expensive for what you get. The 'complimentary hot breakfast' was slushy scrambled eggs and sausage patties which were either under or over cooked. Your choice. :(
location is excellent, always enjoy staying in this hotel
i wish they would get duvets
we requested 3 star or better and this was rated 2.5 star so were dissapointed in that. we wanted better accomodations than Comfort Inn!
Noisy - traffic noise, no baseboards, torn wallpaper
good location - clean - friendly staff - easy to reach most sites in calgary
The room we stayed in had paper thin walls & when asked if we could be moved they would not accomodate it. The pool is small & cold & cannot hold many people. The room was hot & stuffy & the air conditioning was either full blast & noisy or non-existent. The location is not condusive to walking to any amenities either. Overall it was disappointing.
Two friends and I traveled down to Calgary for a performance we absolutely had to see, and we picked the Comfort Inn initially thinking it was the same hotel that two of us had stayed in a year before. It was the wrong hotel, but I am so glad we ended up with it! The hotel itself is wonderfully clean and well kept--great surroundings. The lobby is welcoming, and the hallway outside our room was clean. The room itself is a little small, but had everything you need--two beds, a safe, a mini fridge, a coffee maker, etc. The bathroom is small too, with the toilet facing the door (kind of strange) but not really a big deal, as the door locks. The room is fairly small, but in all honesty we weren't going to be in the room much, so it didn't bother us. Beds were fantastically comfortable--soft and cushy with just the right amount of firmness, and the pillows were great. We all slept in comfort. Continental breakfast was arguably the best spread I've ever seen in a hotel. Cereal, fruit, eggs, toast, pastries, you name it--even a waffle maker, which was pretty much the best thing ever. The room was light and homey, and made breakfast an enjoyable experience. The pool was nice, as well--a fun slide, and a nice-sized pool. Only complaint there (actually, only complaint about the whole hotel) was that the pool was a little cold, and the hot tub was not quite hot enough. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
Was concerned when we arrived because entry to the hotel required key card access and it was the middle of the afternoon. Room was very noisy due to all the street traffic. Felt like we were sleeping outdoors the noise was so loud. Front Desk Manager/Staff were very unhelpful and acted as if they were being inconvenienced when asking for directions downtown. Given proximity to downtown area, staff was not knowledgeable of the area. While they indicate they have free continental breakfast, I would barely consider the offering worthy of continental billing. While stay covered a busy time in Calgary, the rates commanded were extremely out of line with the quality and amenities of the facility.
The hotel was clean, nice waterslide, the hot waffles was a great touch to the breakfast room. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Very dissatisfied with the overall service and attitude of the staff/General Manager. Late check in gave us a room with paint/glue fumes next to elevator- hotel refused request to move 1st nite. Next day after 2 requests finally moved-still charged 60% for room after 3 requests to be moved. Asked for towels in pool & told to use room towels. At check out G.M told me that I had other hotels to choose from if I was unhappy with service and costs and I wasn't forced to stay with them.
