Proximity to ocean boardwalk fantastic. Wonderful view. Quaint, modest furnishings but perfect if you plan to spend most of your time out and about. Basic but certainly adequate provisions for breakfast provided. Great coffee, friendly staff.
24 hour check in not available.
You are directly across from the ocean ! Nice location .
Carpet in room not clean and torn .
The location is excellent - right across the street from Moonstone Beach. Walk straight across and there's the wooden walkway that traverses the bluffs overlooking the Pacific.
The ocean view that costs extra is a bit overstated. Most of the second floor rooms have sea views, but you're really looking out a window past the shared walkway and railing. Like a typical motel, you'll need to keep your curtain shut for privacy.Typical motel style accommodations. Property clean and well kept. Staff polite and helpful. Continental breakfast is pretty standard but OK.
The location is great--couldn't ask for better. The ocean view from my room was beautiful. The room was fairly large.
The hotel is definitely a good value for the price, the only thing I can complain about is that that the bed was covered with a thin bedspread and blanket which wasn't enough for the weather when I went.My overall hotel experience was great for the price. If the hotel had been more expensive I would not have been as satisfied, so for the price it was a very good value. The room was fairly large and spacious; it was clean, and had been somewhat updated. They said they had free Wi-fi and gave us the code for it, but we couldn't get it to connect and the internet on our phones lost service when we reached the town of Cambria so this was a problem. To be fair to the hotel, it was late, so we didn't contact them for help with the Wi-fi, so I don't know if it would have eventually worked. They served a free continental breakfast in...
The ocean was right across the street complete with boardwalk and elephant seals! Bar and grill restaurant 2 doors up. 33 wineries and quaint little village minutes away.Great view of the ocean from our hotel room. Clean!
noThe Castle Inn is a great place to stay. Love the location & the beautiful sunsets. The staff was professional & helpful.
It was near the ocean
They couldn't find that we reserved the hotel through priceline and would give us a room even though they had filed the paper work in the wrong location. Very expensive for a dive hotel.3 1/2 stars?????? If this is 3-4 star level then motel six is the next Four Seasons.
This hotel has the best location, and if you are on the 2nd floor, you have probably the best view of the ocean.
The bathroom, especially the shower, are extremely small. My 6'4' husband could barely turn around in the shower stall. This was overall a nice experience, but the hotel is really designed for little people who have big families. There were very noisy neighbors on both sides of us, and that made it difficult to rest and sleep. However, we had an awesome view of the ocean, and we could observe the sunset from our bed. That was worth it all.
Great location. Friendly staff.
Walls were paper thin, people in the next room were very loud, could not control room temperature, window was open to the room when we entered.
