I left with a regretful choice on a hotel, I feel like my money was wasted
I had to wait 5 goes in line to be checked in, the ac was not working it was so hot in the hotel, they told us they over booked and has no rooms for us, then they magically found a room and it was dirty the mini fridge was empty for days
liked the beach front and view from room and live shows in pyramid
was booked for all inclusive package through kayak to have access to full hotel amenities including a double bed room within the pyramid. When arrived was informed by reception that we did not have full access to all hotels all inclusive package/bracelets as hotel changed policy a month after booking. We were given a king bed instead of a double as booked in another part of the hotel, which was not in the main pyramid which was called grad oasis when we booked. It was now called the pyramid which was the full access location and more exclusive to guest. Hotel gave us an upgrade of bracelet for food only but did not accommodate the room and said there was no guarantee for double beds as part of our reservation. ??? They offered to put us in another of there hotel chains which is not what we wanted as we booked the grand oasis, now known as the pyramid. Reception was not very accommodating. When calling for guest services no one answered calls. The hotel room was not picked up by housekeeping on one of the nights of our stay or linens changed as requested. The bed was stripped of original linens, including a pillow case and was just left with the bottom bed cover and a blanket the was in the closet. Pools where a mess with spring breakers, there was broken glass near our room and blood on a wall and no one had come to clean it all day until I called several times to report it and some one finally came out to clean the glass but blood was still noticeable on the wall. Too many drunk out of control people out for spring break. Nudity, people having sex in public and life behavior on hotel beds , chair throwing and complete disruption to other hotel guest there to enjoy a relaxing stay at hotel. There were families with small children there that could not used the full access to pools and facilities due to all the mess and drunken disruption by party goers. This was my third stay at this hotel and the worst experience I've ever had while on vacation. It had been fully all inclusive before and quite comfortable and lovely. I went with a friend who had never been to cancun and I highly recommended this hotel for her first time there. If I had know it would be like this this time of year or in general not being kept up by staff or under control by personal, I would never had booked. The only positive thing I will say is that the hotels spa service and staff where incredible, polite, accommodating and professional. 5 stars to them but overall going from 4-5 star previous experiences at this hotel, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone any more and will not return.
The check in process was horrible Travel agency did not send guest information to resort It took 3 hrs to check in
Not much... 5th time in Cancun and other than the beach this place doesn't have much to offer. Rooms are OK... sink leaked, shower didn't function properly, food was way less than expected, bar service was almost nonexistent. No name brand liquor as they promise ... hell, not even Bacardi in most bars.
The food, the service, the liquor selection, the inconsistencies of the whole outfit. Almost 3 hours to get a meal at 2 seperate sit down restaurants. Long lines at the buffets and a poor selection of foods. I am pretty easy to please... but this place is literally the Motel 6 of Cancun. Some great people working. I do not wish to disparage them, but there is a massive resort wide lack of training and organization. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here.
