It was close to everything very convenient!
It was filthy an I left and stayed somewhere else
during the middle of the night, the air conditioner stopped working.
The beds were horrible
Rooms were spacious
Location in a trailer park area was a surprise, but our stay was only for a night.
The price was lower than any other motel.
The road noise from hiway 309 made it difficult to sleep. Also, the hot water in the shower lasted for less than 2 minutes before becoming cold.
Noisy location, tired, dirty room, beat up bathroom, torn towels, very hard and thin mattress.
Softer beds would have been better but overall we had a great stay and would stay again.
Very good stay. Owner has been so friendly and accomodating. Made me feel like home.
i said id be staying 4 weeks and when i went to pay my 2nd weeks rent he told me it would be more since it was july and they charge more for the summer. i said we agreed on a weekly price for 3 or 4 weeks and he wouldnt budge so i left.
DON?T STAY HERE! I made reservations for a Non-Smoking room with a Kingsize bed. When we arrived at the hotel the reservation clerk told me that all the Kingsize rooms were gone but she could give me a room with 2 double beds for the same price! We left to visit family without going to the room (BIG mistake). When we arrived back at the hotel at 9:30pm the 1st thing we noticed was that there were no rooms marked as non-smoking. Our room smelled like someone had just put out a cigarette but there were no ashtrays so I guess it was ?non-smoking?. The outside wall of our room was located about 35 feet from a busy highway that had truck traffic all night long and it sounded like you were outside listening to them. The bathroom?s wallpaper was peeling and there was mildew in all the cracks. On the dresser was a Monroe Muffler flier that had a wad of chewing gum stuck to it and the bathtub was full of hairs (not ours). They claim to have a ?continental breakfast?but this consists 2? x 2? table in the entry way with a plate of Friehoffer Donuts and a pot of coffee with no place to sit to eat and it was too small for more than 2 people to stand.
This place is under new management/ownership and from the sound of it it was once really bad. The first thing that went wrong is that despite my telling Travel online there were three of us, and the ages, they wanted an additional $10/night for my 17-year-old daughter. Actually that would be the second thing. The first was the general feel of finding this was the kind of place where you deal with the reception through glass. They never did quite get that having paid for three people we ought to have three towels, and the towel rack fell down (which they did fix). Until about 3 AM people were coming and going up and down the hall, and the walls appear to be of 2x4 construction with no sound barrier, so every time a door closed/slammed, it was clearly audible. The smoke alarm 'tested' itself (single loud beep) around 5 or 5:30 AM. The sheets were too short to stay on the bed. Oh, and the free breakfast comprised donuts, coffee and orange juice. This is not unique, but the average free breakfast has improved beyond that point by now. In the morning we Talking to the proprietors in the morning we learned that the sheets issue is a known problem, they are working on with their 3rd party supplier. The smoke alarm was functioning normally(!), and sure we could have another towel - they gave us one then and there, but then when the room was cleaned it was back to two. Sigh. They've done a lot of work on the place since taking it over, and it is apparently much improved. They do care. But the soundproofing issue is almost impossible to fix, and they back up to a trailer park.
