The location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to almost everything.

They have limited parking spots. We tried to leave the car at the valet when we checked out so we could walk to lunch and they gave us grief for doing that.

Room was interesting. Construction was poor. Entire room was leaning and floorboards were loose. Actual room was very nicely furnished though.

From the moment we pulled into valet on our first day, to the moment we checked out, this hotel and staff were top notch! The rooms are inviting, the food first class and the attention to detail impeccable. The entire staff anticipated our every need and everyone was extremely helpful and nice. A special tip of the hat to Melissa on the Conceierge level. It is obvious that she loves her job and really enjoys the guest's company. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel really made us feel that if we needed it, someone would attend to it right away. Unexpected suprise with the concierge service with breakfast, tea and evening champagne service in parlor. John was absolutely terrific as well as Suzanne and Kelly. The really seemed to enjoy their job and talking to guests. Mike the valet jumped to help you when he way you and the alyssa and kelly at the front desk were always smiling when you needed their help. Can't say enough about the staff. Value for the money was good. Drinks were a little over the top in expense. Please ad a few lower cost alternatives at downstairs and rooftop pool. We are not cheap and realize where we were staying but their are too many alternatives near by to no have some options in price. Overall, terrific hotel that we would definately recommend and will return to in the future.

The location is wonderful. It's on the more 'young' side of town, but it's close to most everything.

The staff seemed a little slow and somewhat lazy. The elevator was a total joke. It would take several minutes to arrive.

THE STAFF WAS GOOD.

THE ROOM WAS SHOCKINGLY SMALL COMPARED TO COST.TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT WE EXPECTED BASED ON OUR REVIEW OF THE WEBB SITE. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH NO BAR OR RESTURANT.'BREAKFAST' IS THE SAME AS A LA QUINTA.

Location was great: close to the waterfront park and fountains, convenient to the water taxi; super restaurants close by, and a short walk to the market. The staff were all extremely friendly, approachable and helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable.

No.

Staff was very accommodating. Room amenities were very nice. The rooftop restaurant was the place to be, especially at sunset. The concierge was very helpful and recommended and arranged a tour and was able to get us a restaurant reservation at a time we could not get ourselves. The wifi was great and we also accessed it at the Starbucks in the lobby after checking out and waiting for our cab. There was also chilled lemon and lime water in the lobby, milk and cookies at 9:00 pm, and wine and cheese in the afternoon.

- Donna and Olivia were very friendly and went above and beyond to insure our stay way was comfortably unforgettable! - Historic Charleston, SC district in the French Quarter in close proximity to everything my wife and I love and appreciate!

- Breakfast was included daily with our stay. I suggested some form of protein because of health condition to our host and she said she would correct this for our next stay.

Historic building houses Bed and breakfast facility in downtown historical district of Charleston, SC. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and air conditioned. We felt safe as our room was on second floor. Entry was gated with passcode. Courtyard had a fountain and beautifully manicured with live potted plants. My wife and I ate breakfast, provided by our host, on an outside veranda. We were served by Olivia, fresh fruits and delectable pastries. The hot coffee was excellent! Our host, Donna, was very friendly and provide...

The staff was fantastic & helpful. We arrived after a long ride with our 7 yr old. They sent up a wine and cheese plate and cookies and milk for our daughter. They were extremely attentive, the hotel is amazing and the rooms and food amazing.

Not a thing!

The hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter, adjacent to the market, attractions and great restaurants. The rooms were immaculate, with many thoughtful luxuries (a pillow menu!), cookies and milk at bed time, wine & cheese reception, drinks. A hearty varied breakfast suiting everyone's needs. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed. The staff was wonderful from the front desk to the valets, etc. We had a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Started off great with some welcome cookies at checkin. Paid parking available just north of hotel. On Market Street, and very close to many restaurants/bars.

Minor maintenance issue: plumbing fixture handles loose/wobbly (one came off) in the bathroom. Still functional, no problem.

Perfect location right in the middle of downtown, super friendly and responsive staff, great continental breakfast overlooking the market area, fast valet service, modern amenities.

Small Room with a single window, could hear the the other guests in the surrounding rooms (both due to the fact it's an older building).

Friendly staff, location, lobby with water and coffee, charm.

Our room did not have a window facing the outdoors so it was very dark all of the time. The air conditioning system as very old and noisy. There was no vent in the bathroom.

The location of The Planters Inn could not be more convenient. No need for a car; everything is within walking distance. The restaurant is one of the best in the city; don't miss the coconut cake. The staff is attentive and have an amazing knowledge of the city and its attractions as well as the less touristy dining spots.

Great location and easy to get everywhere in the area. Short on staff so it takes a while to get any thing done. We checked in late and there was only one person working. Some guy that was behind the counter, but in street clothes when out to valet our car and when I went to get my phone from the car, it was gone. Hotel staff could not care less. They couldn't even figure out who the guy was that parked our car.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
