The Crash Pad: An Uncommon Hostel in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, TN featuring brand new, ground-up construction and is the first hostel in Chattanooga. The Crash Pad combines the affordability and camaraderie of a traditional hostel with the charm and cleanliness of a boutique hotel. The Crash Pad is located in The Southside, a neighborhood that exemplifies the pride and energy going into Chattanooga's revitalization. Our mission is to further establish Chattanooga as an ultimate outdoor destination by providing a base camp and community hub for adventurous travelers. While The Crash Pad welcomes all travelers, we’ve taken special care to maximize the experience of those who come to play in the mountains and rivers that surround our city. We are currently tracking for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold, a distinction our hostel would be the first in the US to hold. Also, throughout most of the hostel you will find incredible woodwork, unique concrete counters and sinks, various sculptures and metalwork, as well as a variety of local photography hanging on our walls. We offer two types of accommodations to best suit your budget, travel preferences, and the size of your party. Our most basic lodging is a Super Bunk. Each of our six bunkrooms features two bunk beds for a total of four people per room. We use the term “bunk” lightly, as these Haskel Sears Design handcrafted beds offer a sturdy and quiet wrap-around wooden enclosure with privacy curtains. Each bed also has a reading lamp and a fan, plus two extra outlets. There is ample, lockable storage space beneath each bed. A Super Bunk runs for $27 a night, tax included. If you want more privacy, we also have six private rooms. Each of these features a handcrafted queen bed with built in nightstand, and a beautiful, unique concrete sink courtesy of Set In Stone. All private rooms will be equipped with a reading lamp, a ceiling fan, and plenty of extra outlets. A private room runs for $70 a night, tax included. There is a men’s and women’s restroom located on each floor. Each restroom has two sinks, two toilets and two showers.
