The car we eventually got was clean, and in excellent condition. But pick up took way too long. They didn't have the car ready for us. When they finally went to get it, they found it had a dead battery. The repairman arrived about 20 minutes later to replace the battery. A while later, they gave us a different car. I have no idea why they couldn't have given us the different car as soon as they discovered the dead battery. Then we still had to do the paperwork. I don't know why at least most of the paperwork couldn't have been completed before they had a car ready. We arrived a few minutes before the appointed 9:00 am time. It was 9:50 when were able to drive away. Returning the car. on the other hand, was very quick and easy.

Be prepared - know what your options are (add-on insurance, what car you're ok with, etc.) because things move pretty quickly once you arrive. I did notice a lack of gender diversity - staff was all male.

piceline sent me cost of $660.04 for 12 day rental, when i returned truck the cost was $1271.69 dont ever trust priceline or enterprise again total rip off !!! and reuck was to be smoke free and it stunk like chain smokers used it. horrible experience

Kayak quoted me around $400 to rent a car for the specified period of time. When I arrived at the Enterprise location, they told me that the cheapest option they had available was going to cost around $900 (including insurance). I had no choice because of the situation I was in, but I was incredibly disappointed that Kayak's quote was so far off. If I had known it would have cost that much, I absolutely would not have rented from this location. I will probably not be using Kayak anymore.

I was scheduled to return on 7/4 but was not told the location would be closed. When I called the customer service number, they advised me to return it to the airport location. The airport location attempted the charge me for returning it to a different location. Hertz wasted 2 hours of my time, attempted to charge me MORE for their mistake and never once even apologized.

The price offered through Kayak was great. The staff at the Hertz location when we picked up was awful. They were very slow and had zero concern for helping anyone quickly. They also said our only option was a fully electric vehicle. We had to argue with the front office person to get to a manager to get to a gas vehicle. It was a terrible experience. The drop off was fine.

Avis gave me a car that turned out to have a massive oil leak and told me to keep driving it even though there was a check oil level alarm going off. The engine finally blew up and I was stranded for 3 hours on the side of the freeway while I tried to get roadside assistance. They assured me that I could get a refund, but my credit card was charged for $1500 more than the original price.

I rented a Kia Rio for one day, when I went to the office the guy whi attended me was everything but polite, he made a few changes to the order, I never got proper explanations and he charged my order without confirming the final amount, I ended up with a Tacoma Toyota that I did not ask for and with a charge more than the double I reserved, so seems like using Kayak was not useful, they charged and gave me whatever they wanted. With no way to claim my money back

We were told that we were being upgraded from a Toyota Camry but when we got to the car it was a Hyundai Elantra -so not really clear on how that was an upgrade. We were in a big hurry to get to an appointment, so did the cursory exterior walk around and headed out. It was’t until we had been in the car for a bit when we realized how filthy it was. The cloth seats were disgusting with gunk stuck to them, especially in the back, but just stained everywhere and smelly. There were also rips in the floor mats. When I returned the car after a couple of days and mentioned that the car was grossly dirty and they should attend to it before subjecting another customer -he just walked away. No apology or anything. So much for their cleaning and sanitization practices.

The man who did the walk-through of the car at pick-up, and check-in at return (same person), should not be dealing with the public. There were many other problems and frustrations both at pickup and return, but the manager was helpful and able to smooth most of them out.

They don’t have after hours drop off service, don’t pick up and drop off ,and they charged me whole day rent for being late for an hour.

It was a nice type of car with good gas mileage. That is the BEST thing I can say about this experience. This whole rental experience has made a trip that should have been relaxing very stressful. I had a day rental and iI am being charged $382.00!!! That’ should be closer to a weeks rental fee. This was a complete the TAXES were $116. The rate I was quoted was $150 TOTAL ….including insurance. There was less than a 1/4 tank gas at pick up and the car was dirty with a sticky soda spill on the center console. I spoke to TWO different representatives from budget (one told me to return the vehicle with the amount of gas that it had at pick up. I returned it with half a tank rather than the quarter it had been delivered to me with) and there was no one at the drop off gate to discuss any of this with and today I find that there are more FEES. This was by far the most unprofessional and OVERPRICED rental experience I have ever had. I will not be recommending Budget or Kayak to ANYONE.

Stole my deposit money, left me high and dry. I got there minutes after my supposed pick up time and not a soul in sight. I walked 10 miles to get there!

I arrived late due to flight delay and called the budget number thru Google. They verified my reservation and told me they would hold the car. When I arrived at the office the lady at the desk told me thats not true and that I never "called us at the branch." As a consumer I didn't know that it wasn't the right number and she argued w me that I was saying heresay and that she doesn't run a business that way...as I tried to explain that I dont know how I would have known how to do what she was asking me she yelled, "im not arguing with you!"....it was the weirdest experience how hostile she was...LUCKILY the other lady helping me found me a van to take and since I wasn't sure I was even going to get a car, I was grateful. Learning lesson...if you are late or have questions, call the actual branch that hold the cars, they appear to be franchises and the budget that answers the phone online don't know the rules....good luck w that.
