Perhaps I should have read more carefully. Given the snow conditions, I rented an SUV and must have understood incorrectly as I expected all-wheel or four-wheel drive. I was offered a $150 upsell. Enterprise had no car for me because they had overbooked. I had to scramble at the last minute to find another car that cost more. The local agency said I would have to call the 800 number to get compensation for the additional cost and the supervisor on the 800 line said they could do nothing because that had to be handled by the local agency. Everybody was very sorry. A sorry operation indeed.National

The Alamo Rep called me about a hour before scheduled time, asking me when to be picking it up. I arrived 10 min. prior, And no rep was present, proceeded to call assistance number and still took about half an hour to get the car once rep showed up.
