Great staff in the pickup/dropoff location...friendly, courteous, respectful. The cargo van, which had come from another Hertz location and was in desperate need of a front end alignment...very hard to drive, almost scary on the interstate. At drop-off I let the staff know about the alignment need and they were both apologetic and appreciative of the info.

Drop off was easy. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

The radio in our car didn't work so we called the main number. Woman told us to call the local rental agency and gave us two numbers, neither of which worked. We tried to use the bluetooth and stream music, but that didn't work either. We stuck it out with the car but no radio makes for a long ride.

I have already complained to customer service about this experience but the car was dirty, smelled like weed and had no gas.

The car I reserved wasn't there when I arrived to pick it up. They were going to give me a pick-up (I reserved a small Kia) first, then a minivan and then finally they gave me a Nissan Altima. That was fine and got great gas mileage, except there must have been a leak in one of the tires, because I got a warning on the dash that it was low and had to stop and put air in it FIVE TIMES over the 8 day rental. Not a great experience overall. They took $100 off my total in the end, but it was still crazy expensive.

I had to wait for over 20 min just to drop the car off. Very understaffed. They did not have the car I reserved when I arrived. I was given another vehicle and was charged more. The car was not as nice as the one I had reserved.

I had to turn around and go back to the pickup location after I was on the road for 30 minutes. A sensor went off and said that the tire pressure was low. One tire had 42 lbs. 2 had 30 lbs and the other had 29 lbs. This was very inconvenient. And when I dropped it off I was taken out to the car because I was accused of having a dog inside the car. I don’t have a dog. I was accused of having a dog. I have never been treated this way. I didn’t know that I was suppose to vacuum the car out before I returned it. I was the only one in the car. I was shocked when I was taken outside to look inside the car. Next time I rent a car I will go the airport. And I make sure everyone I know about my experience. This is unacceptable

I ordered a midsize SUV and got a compact one I wanted the midsize so I can put my dresser in it and it wouldn't even fit and it's not even a full size dresser it's a small one. The headrest is angled forward it was so uncomfortable to ride with my head pitch forward for 9 and a half hours on my trip I had to stop and take Advil to get the pain in my neck to go away. The only part that was good is that I got a screw in the tire before I left town and they fixed it right away. However I left in a very bad rain storm with tornado warnings in the windshield wipers we're beyond usable and I could hardly see

Not a single thing

Cons:

They could have had the right address on goggle and Apple Maps. They could have answered the phone in the two hours I tried to call. Most importantly they could have HAD MY CAR READY. Had to wait 5 extra hours and never did get my car. Had to settle for a different one. Amazing rude staff. Like, i dont know how they are in business rude.

No one was there for the drop off! No one helped me and I had to hide keys under the monitor on a desk. So dangerous

It was a very comfortable ride. The van had good pick up when needed and overall I was pleased with it. I would recommend some type of step or running board along the entrance on the side because some of my family, who are 55 to 70, had issues stepping up and stepping down so far out of the van. A stepstool, even, would’ve been great.

Pickup in Winston-Salem was great! The problems arose during my drop off during after-hours at RDU. Website reported office would be closed, but car could be dropped off and shuttle service would be available. I arrived and followed signs to leave car in Avis lot...there, I found a car blocking the entrance. Another desperate driver arrived and helped me navigate around the blocked car. We had to drag our luggage around for several minutes to find a shuttle service at another rental company. Airport police was called but couldn't help. Officer indicated this was a problem reported previously. I would have missed my flight without the gentleman's help...this was after driving 2 hrs to arrive by 3am. It was a nightmare!!
