Oh my gosh I loved the car we rented! The only thing I would change is there were 2 slots with the same number and we didn’t know. So we got to the first one. We had a team member come over and inspect a few spots on the car so we wouldn’t be charged for them. After getting my 93 year old grandmother and all our luggage loaded, we couldn’t figure out why the car refused to start. We checked with another team member to be told we were in the wrong one and ours was across the road in the second spot. The team member said not to worry and he went and switched everything to the van we were in and got us the right keys for that vehicle. He saved the day! The car was perfect and we will definitely use you again for our trip next year!

The location was fairly busy, but staff was working hard to get everyone what they needed quickly. We will be back if we need to rent another car in Myrtle Beach.

The car was in great shape, the people working there were very helpful and the price of the rental was reasonable. My only suggestion is to offer a shuttle to take you from the airport to the car rental lot (which is about a 10 minute cab ride). Thank you!

Had to go to different location for pick up as they ran out of cars and had to pay extra for a cab to other locations. Get there only to be told due to having an out of state license and using my debit card, I could not rent without a full credit check. Wasn't eligible to rent a car. Thankfully not all rental places there use this policy. I went to another company and it was a great experience

Be careful when booking in Myrtle Beach. We thought we were scheduling pickup/dropoff at the airport but unintentionally selected Myrtle Beach Coastal Strand Mall. The guy at the AVIS counter was great in helping us out despite our mistake. Still, we had to wait in line over three hours to reach the Avis Counter. They had a line out the doors of the rental office but only one person working the counter on a Sunday afternoon. It was an excessive wait due to poor staffing. A second worker joined the front desk after we had been in line for a bout 2.5 hours and helped speed things up. Aside from the pickup, it would have been nice for the dropoff directions to be made more explicitly clear. We eventually had to just walk to the counter (in spite of the huge line on a Saturday morning) and tell them we were returning keys. A drop box or parking lot attendant (like other rental agencies use) would have made things much easier.

Use this service at your own risk. They canceled my reservation without informing me. I tried to schedule another car and was told no other 12 passenger vans would be available during my vacation stay. My only option with them was to rent multiple 5 passenger vehicles...I declined. We ubered and saved ourselves lots of money. Not only are you unreliable but you're staff is unprofessional, untrained, and condescending. You're the worst!

I had a flight change to a later time weeks in advance. My car rental pickup was 8am. I called the third party vendor to see if I could push back the pick up time because I didn't want to lose the 12 passenger van we had reserved. I was told that there would be no issue because there is a 13 hour window to pick up any vehicle. I was assured there would be no issue. I arrived at Budget at 7pm only to learn not only that my reservation had been canceled but also that I could not make make a new reservation because the largest vehicle they had was a 5 passenger... although there were literally six 12 passengers sitting on their lot. To add insult to injury your representative was the most condescending tool I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. You need to hire problem solvers rather than those who can simply spew off what they read on their screens. My representative was not brought. I will never use our recommend your services EVER!

After arriving at the Route 501 location in MB, I was informed they did not have the car we reserved and was told to proceed to MBI Airport to exchange the vehicle. I arrived and had to wait about an hour to exchange the vehicle after management spoke to the Route 501 location. I was then assigned a bigger vehicle, which I loved, but the battery was dead. Back to the office to get another vehicle of the same make amd model, but was delayed another 45 minutes. That car had extremely dirty windows, but was otherwise clean. Was a bit disappointed about the overall experience, but understood it wasn't the office personel's fault at the airport.

At the airport they did not want to rent us a car since it was not the location indicated on the initial reservation. Finally we did another reservation more expensive. Then we had a flat tire and we had to change the car. Both cars where not cleaned properly.

great customer service. Tire pressure was low every day in rental car. Hertz gave us a voucher for discount on next rental. Only disadvantage is you cannot do it on line

I had a reservation from February 20 to February 22, 2024 at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (Itinerary # **********3296 Confirmation K7622746054). I arrived at the Thrifty Car Rental Counter around 10:15 AM on Tuesday, February 20th. There were 2 customer service agents behind the counter. One was helping another customer. The other one was on her phone. I stood there waiting for several minutes and finally the one that was on her phone looked up and asked if she could help me. I told her that I had a reservation, gave her my name as well as my driver's license and credit card. She proceeded to place my driver's license into a machine. She tried this several times. She made the comment that it wasn't reading the driver's license. She then went to another machine that was where the other agent was working and tried that a few times. It still would not work. She then went into the back office. I assume she was trying another machine there. Came back out tried the machine at her workstation again. It would not work. She asked me if I had my passport. I told her that I did not routinely carry my passport on domestic flights. She then told me she would not be able to rent me the vehicle that I had reserved. I asked her if there was an alternative plan that she could use in case the machine would not scan my driver's license. She told me there was not. I asked if I could speak to a manager. She told me that I could not. I asked what my alternatives were. She told me I would have to rent a vehicle from another car rental counter. She did tell me that since Thrifty, Hertz, and Dollar are all the same company, I would run into the same problem. As it was clear, she was not going to go out of her way to help me, I proceeded to the Budget/Avis rental car counter. They were able to rent me a vehicle. However, it cost me over three times what I had rented the vehicle for at Thrifty. I find it very difficult to believe that there is not an alternative plan that she could have pursued check my driver's license when the machines don't work. And the fact that I was denied to speak to a manager, further underscores her lack of providing customer service. As a result, I will never rent from Thrifty/Hertz/Dollar. In fact, I had a reservation with Hertz in March at Myrtle Beach International Airport. I cancelled it and rebooked with Budget/Avis. Based on this experience, if Thrifty/Dollar/Hertz were the last rental car company on earth, I would walk.

The picture that showed a suv was the one I picked but when I got there I was given a Toyota Camry and I said to the agent I thought I was renting a suv and she said you asked for a midsize car. It was very uncomfortable getting in and out of that car with my bad knees.
