They treated me like I was trying to steal from them. I ended up not getting the vehicle and went with Turo. I got a new BMW that would be in Enterprises luxury category for less money than a Full-size SUV.

It was a very easy and smooth experience. Unfortunately it was as I expected though… when you select a car and they say range rover or similar, you should always expect to never be able to get a range rover. It’s always gonna be something similar. I ended up with a BMW X5 which was great. But if I was told X5 or similar, I wouldn’t have chose that car class or expense. Car had absolutely horrible suspension and weird steering, severe problems in tire balancing causing entire vehicle to shake all the time, had a very poor pickup as well

The eToll reader was $129 for unlimited tolls. I had to use the tunnel on my way to return the car so we will see how much they charge me for a $4.00 toll.

I purchased the dealer’s choice and the advertisement said that they decide what to give me based on the size of my party. I got there and they said “dealers choice today is the smallest option. You have to upgrade”. That’s false advertising.

When I got to the desk they didn't honor my reservation. The guy working there acted like he couldn't give 2 shits that they where stranding me and my family in Baltimore. That's the last time I use Avis and Kayak.

The wait to pick up the car was long since Avis (and probably other rental firms) had been experiencing shortages of vehicles. They tried to convince me to take a different size car, but finally found the size I had reserved. I wasn't particularly thrilled about their "gas" policy. As there was a charge for what was in the tank (which seemed high to me), although one could return the car without refilling. I'm not sure if I came out on the "good end" of that policy; I would have rather received a full tank initially with a requirement to return it with a full tank, which I think would have been less costly. The car also had almost no windshield washer fluid when I picked it up. The counter employees, were, however, very friendly and helpful at pick-up, although one of them spent a what seemed like a lot of time just chatting with a customer while a line of people waiting to pick up cars had formed.

They didn’t have a car for me. They were completely out of cars. Me and another man had made reservations and they told us if we waited 3-4 hours they could maaaaybe get us cars.

Badly negative. 4 hours waiting for a car. At last, there was no cars available. I Had to cancel and get another company in same station.at airport. Employees at desk were rude and uncompromising. They should not be at front desk with public.

We arrived to pick up our car, and the customer service desk informed us that it could be up to a 3 hour wait for a car. The ladies at the desk handled the delay with professionalism and kindness. The reason for the lack of cars is unknown to me. We ended waiting about 1.5 hours. I learned two lessons: 1) Thrifty is owned by Hertz and Hertz customers get priority to cars; and 2) I should have a rental car membership because those people receive priority and walk directly to their cars. I know it's obvious.

I never got my car, there was a 2 hour wait and I had to rent from a different company. I have requested a refund and don’t think I’ll book a car through Kayak again.
