Pickup took over an hour. Not the vehicle I requested. After pickup vehicle had maintence light on dash and brake rotors warped causing vibration when stopping on highway. Overhead console cubby door broken, hanging down. Expected better from Hertz2.0 Poor

when I was calling to set up a ride to our local enterprise I was told I needed the cost upfront for the rental and a $250.00 deposit. This was not doable for me and I cancelled the reservation. Enterprise added this deposit requirement amount recently.Budget

Vehicle was clean. Got an Expedition for price of minivan when they didn’t have the minivan we reserved. Gave $15 discount to offset poorer gas mileage of the Expedition vs minivan.Cons:
1) Website let me reserve a minivan, including payment, but they didn’t actually have a minivan. We got an Expedition at minivan price, but it doesn’t have the storage capacity or gas mileage of a minivan. 2) Vehicle had 3/4 tank at start so we were told we only needed to have 3/4 tank when returning. The paperwork (which I should’ve verified) said it was a full tank at start so I had to return it with a full tank.10.0 Wonderful

Professional - Courteous - Knowledgeable - Reserved a vehicle online and went down to store to confirm size, the vehicle we really needed was not available. However, the one we reserved would do, just not ideal for what we needed. When we went to collect our reservation Juan mentioned that the vehicle we originally wanted came back early and was now available for time requested. We switched out vehicles and were still in and out in less than 20 minutes. Well Done Budget! for employing staff such as Juan. Need a vehicle at a reasonable price from a professional company. Arrived at the location to find the representative gone. Took 30+ minutes for him to return. When he finally came back, they didn't have the vehicle I requested. The car we settled on was filthy...looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Low tire pressure and they asked me to go fill up the tire at the local tire shop. Continued to leak throughout the weekend and was a huge inconvenience. Stopped multiple times with refill. The vehicle also needed the oil changed and ran quite rough.2.0 Poor

We got to the Budget office and they explained to us they had “overbooked” and didn’t have a minivan for us. They tried to give us a Ford Explorer, but as a family of 7 taking a 12 hr road trip that wasn’t going to work for us. We were out of luck and they didn’t do anything to try and fix the problem. Luckily we went to the Enterprise down the street and they were able to help us. It was a terrible experience and I’ll never use Budget it Kayak again.10.0 Wonderful

Reserved 12 passenger van at an off-airport rental site. Called to verify since I reserved an hour before pickup but could not navigate the automated phone system but I did speak with a Budget central reservation person who said it should be available. Did not have the large van I had reserved. Substituted a 10 passenger van (only one available) that had not been cleaned and I talked them into renting it to me. I even had to drive another 40 miles to pick-up license plates for the vehicle. We loved the van we rented for our trip but it was at a premium price.
