I used a dealership far from the airport because they had a convertible available, which I had confirmed as reserved. I paid extra to Uber to the rental office after my flight landed, only to discover that they rented my car to someone else. I will never use this office again.Avis

Avis does not accept the 3rd party insurance offered through booking sites. Ended up paying additional for more insurance because of being in unfamiliar area. This caused me to lose any savings I had using a booking site. I will always go direct from this point forward.Budget

Cons:
I thought I was picking up the car at the airport. When I was at the Hertz counter I was informed that the car was at an off site location. No help was offered because it was pre-paid for. Was informed I could take a taxi or Uber to get to the off site location. It was late in the afternoon and the location was closing. I was left with no other option but to rent from another car company. Will never do that again! Terrible customer service at the airport counter!Dollar
