Kayak allowed me to make a reservation at 9am and when I showed up at 9;30 the distributor had 0 cars to give me and said I’d have to wait until 1pm. The connection between Kayak and the distributor should definitely be tighter and NOT allow for reservations to be made when no cars are available. Luckily another customer returned a car 45 min later that I was able to take but that system is totally flawed.4.8 Mediocre

We called every Avis customer service line that we could find and nobody could help us. Ultimately I had to go find another car rental place and rent a different car, at obviously a significantly higher rate because it was last minute.
