Pros:
It wasn't the locations fault. The staff was friendly.Cons:
I reserved a car online through a discount dealer. So I blame them, really. It allowed me to make the reservation when in fact the location only had minivans left. The minivans would have cost an additional (approximately from memory) $150 or something. I couldn't afford that. Also this location was only accepting credit cards - no debit cards or cash.10.0 Wonderful

The dealership is close to home, so very convenient. The office is a bit hard to find, but there were signs, and the dealership staff were helpful.Cons:
I returned the car with a full tank, though I stopped filling when the gas nozzle first clicked (I didn't top off the tank). The young man at the Hertz office got in the car for less than thirty seconds and told me that the indicated showed below full, which was not the case when I pulled into the lot. He challenged me repeatedly about when/where/how far the gas station was from my home and said that he'd normally make me pay a few dollars extra since the needle showed below full. I have to wonder if he had any regrets when he got into the car, drove it to the back of the car lot and realized that the gage had time to indicate that the tank was indeed full.2.0 Poor

The staff failed to mention that when I ran my debit/credit card at check in that they were required to run it as a debit even though it literally has a MasterCard logo on it??? I had over 6k in the bank ready for the trip and at the last minute my car reservation is declined? Thanks for that :/ Due to this failure, I had to have my son (who has an "actual credit card" according to the staff) drive from Detroit to Lansing to re-rent a vehicle for the trip. When he arrived, and we went back, they had given my car to someone else and stated that all they had left were something like a Geo Metro. A Geo Metro??? Seriously??? Sigh... So, we made a new reservation and asked if they had anything in the same size of larger. They said we have a Mazda3 but it's $7.00 more a day. So, I paid the extra $70 and renter that car instead. So, the $400 plus price i'd already paid for the reservation that was lost, but the price was mysteriously still available. Sigh... I got the car and then seen I only had a little over half a tank of gas? So, went and filled up the car. Additionally, it looked like moisture had gotten behind the instrument window and was so fogged I could barely see the mph gage. Overall, it was a frustrating experience in comparison to the previous 4 visits when I had rented from the exact location, it went smooth as glass! I rarely write this type of review but hopefully, someone else doesn't make the same assumptions I did and have to go through this experience.7.6 Good

Cons:
The car looked like it had been through an infestation of bugs before I picked it up. Windshield was dirty from bugs and the front of the car was infested with dead bugs. The interior was dirty and dusty. I had to clean the car before leaving on my trip. Once cleaned the car ran extremely well and was very fuel-efficient.7.6 Good
