when I was calling to set up a ride to our local enterprise I was told I needed the cost upfront for the rental and a $250.00 deposit. This was not doable for me and I cancelled the reservation. Enterprise added this deposit requirement amount recently.Hertz

Vehicle was clean. Got an Expedition for price of minivan when they didn’t have the minivan we reserved. Gave $15 discount to offset poorer gas mileage of the Expedition vs minivan.Cons:
1) Website let me reserve a minivan, including payment, but they didn’t actually have a minivan. We got an Expedition at minivan price, but it doesn’t have the storage capacity or gas mileage of a minivan. 2) Vehicle had 3/4 tank at start so we were told we only needed to have 3/4 tank when returning. The paperwork (which I should’ve verified) said it was a full tank at start so I had to return it with a full tank.3.6 Poor

I reserved a mid-size car (Elantra or equivalent), and got a Corrolla, which I have always understood to be a compact. The car was dirty outside (windows, body, etc.), and filthy inside with trash in the console and under the seat, as well as some sort of food all over the floor in the back. The windshield wipers were worn and did a poor job cleaning the windows, the wiper fluid was empty, and the dash was indicating "Maintenance Required" every time I started the car. Had to wait entirely too long when dropping off, as the agent was spending time visiting and chit-chatting with someone who was picking up, while I stood in the lobby with no acknowledgement of my presence.
