Staff was great! Really appreciated all their assistance. Pick up and Drop off were easy.

Cons:

We were told 3 days before our trip that there was no vehicle in the size that we needed available. We appreciated their honesty. We received a call the next day that a van became available but someone had smoked in the van and they were trying to air it out for us. The day we picked up our rental, another van had become available, which we were glad to see. However, someone had also smoked in that van too. All the seats were covered in a layer of cigarette ash. We shared with the staff that the new car smelled like smoke and was dirty. They offered to wipe down the seats, but we knew that the smell would not just evaporate with wiping down the seats. We took the van to the car wash and had to pay to have it cleaned. Even the manager at the car wash was surprised because he knows we are not smokers and couldn't believe the smell. We were taking our parents, who are older and more sensitive, on this trip. We had to purchase air fresheners to try and cover up the smell. Our whole trip we had to drive with the heat on full blast (February trip) and the windows open. Our clothes, suitcases, even food tasted like smoke from being in that car. We usually have had great experiences with Enterprise but were super disappointed by this last one.

I liked the location and the vehicle I rented was reasonable with gas.

Cons:

The time the vehicle had to be picked up and dropped off could've been better for me. The hours of operation mattered because I had to pick up the vehicle in enough time to reach my destination and return on time.

Cons:

Car was rinsed and not dried off so there were spots all over it otherwise a totally great experience

The experience was poor with the Badget company in Lodi, New Jersey, I was discriminated by the company when they asked me for my passport when I'm a US citizen living in PR and don't have to travel with my passport. The outcome of this matter was resulting in me being stranded on the highway, with no one to call and having to rent an Uber, and renting a car with another company, I have rented other times with Budget Rental Car and this had never happened to me so this is why I say I was discriminated, I suggest the company reviews there renting policies

Service at the Fair Lawn, NJ location was excellent. Rented through Kayak and was charged what was quoted.

They have too much hidden unnecessary charges. Like tolls beware! You can’t use your own EZ pass on their cars and even without using the bill you get is too much.

Even though I made a reservation, paid in full, almost three months before my trip, when the departure day arrived the vehicle I had reserved was not available. It can't get worse than that. Never Hertz again.

When I got there to pick up my reservation, they didn't have any cars. This was a Hertz that also offered Thrifty cars (they own Thrifty). Their employees simply shrugged and said that I'd have to wait for some cars to be returned and that they had no idea when that would be. I was trying to pinch pennies with Thrifty, won't make that mistake anymore. For a few dollars more, Avis/Budget has been so much more reliable.

Went to pick up my rental car on Saturday and the office was closed. There was no one there to give me keys to the car I had reserved. I called the number on my reservation paperwork and they said there was nothing they could do for me, so I had to cancel my trip. NEVER AGAIN !
