The rental counter was in the terminal. The car pickup and dropoff just, 2 min walk from the counter, no need for the shuttle.

Cons:

The rental person could improve on her customer skills, well maybe it was just a language barrier/

I filled the form that i will go to switzerland, than i have gotten a 90 euro charge for winter tiers.

The prices are too high! Its not ok to charge for winter tires so much per day! The insurance is also extremely expensive! You end up paying 3x for the car with the above added.

Car was OK, an upgrade in size. Unexpected charge for crossing into nearby countries nearly doubled the rental cost. Apparently charge could have been avoided by renting from the Swiss rather than the French side of the airport. However, this was not mentioned nor offered as an option during the booking process. Collision insurance was unexpectedly high. Outside parking lot, car not washed.

It wasn't Alamo, but Thrifty. The Kayak reservation was wrong we got a smaller car than we needed and had to pay a lot of extras for nothing

I still haven’t received the final documentation 2 days after returning the car after hours. They are not reachable by phone and not my email either. Very poor costumer service and communication.

I rented a car for about 50 CHF / day. They did not have the small car I reserved and gave me an expensive one. I felt forced to take full insurance which I was told is about 40 CHF / day. Since Thebens not Hand me a contract but told me that it will be sent by email I noticed only 2 days later that my costs were 250 CHF / day !! I have immediately returned the car after 2 days. What a cheat !!!!!

the complication of getting and returning the car in Basel airport. need to cross the border from Swiss to France in order to put the car in the France side, although the flight was from the Swiss side. I think that it shouldn't be matter for the rental company in wich side I return the car as this is the same company.
