We did not get the model/type of car booked. It was a downgrade... Not impressed, no discount given. But was offered a bigger car for an additional $20 a day. Will book elsewhere in the future!

Pick up counter service was terrible!!!!! One person on the desk took 1 1/2 hrs. to get car and I was 5th person in line with another 10-15 people in line behind me!!! Car was good all other services where acceptable.

The car was filthy, windshield wipers were completely shot, and the tires were so warn & tattered, it sounded as if they were going to blow at any moment. The car itself had TERRIBLE gas mileage. For a two wheel front drive Kia “SUV”, it was worse than my personal Toyota 4Runner for how many times I had to fill it up.

They would only accept credit cards, which is ridiculous given that a person might not even have available credit on a credit card. I do not use credit cards, living within my means. I went to Budget.

Cons:

The suv was a nice one but it had broken windshield wipers on both sides. It’s warm out and the entire drive I had to stare through the steering wheel. Wish I could have seen Soldotna haha

All employees encountered were very cordial and accommodating. A vehicle swap was required due to tire low pressure and the swap was accomplished with minimum waiting as well as very helpful employees again.

There was a long line at checkin, but the attendant was efficient. She did not offer any hard copy of the rental agreement; she said she would email it to me but I never received it. The car had less than 4000 miles on it and performed well.

We had a problem with our vehicle and were told to come in and quickly swap it out with an identical vehicle that they were holding for us. The replacement vehicle wasn’t available when we arrived and the staff were unaware of the situation. The exchange was not quick as had been claimed. We were satisfied until this moment.

Some time after exiting the rental facility the check engine light for oil service needed came on which was frustrating given the amount of mileage we anticipated driving. The comfort of a Toyota 4Runner is average at best. The seats are very rigid and overall comfort significantly decreases the perceived value of renting it.
