Pros:
I never got the rental, went to pick up was told I couldn't rent the car with out of state license and debit card. I was stranded in Arizona extra day, the service was not good. After me explaining my situation they still refused and made me go through all the embarrassment. Even after I told the on the phone I didn't have a credit card only a debit card with me. I felt hopeless, ashamed of my situation and embarrassed that i had to go through that in front of my kids on Mothers day. I had to switch the reservation to SMF airport , then again to San Jose airport and got the same treatment and down right rude staff in San Jose.Cons:
Revise their policy and make them uniform, shouldn't depend on what location or city your renting from. Also accommodate if necessary, people should have to explain why they can't have credit cards or why they only like debit cards. Me ad my son just needed to get home safe and sound and they wouldn't even accommodate on Mothers day.Avis

Cons:
I was locked in the parking lot of the rental car center for over 2 hours. The location closed and they locked the gate to the parking lot before I had driven out. I spoke to roadside service like 4 or 5 times before they got a manager to come back and unlock the gate so I could leave. I had an 8 hour drive home ahead of me and this made it significantly longer. It was very stressful to be locked in a parking lot for hours, and then I still had to drive a long way to get home. I realize it was a minor mistake on their part but it caused me a lot of pain and stress. It really ruined my weekend.2.0 Poor

Pros:
I requested a small compact car to save on gas for our long trip. When I arrived I was told my only option was a suv. The man checking us in was rude and became frustrated while going through the paperwork. He did not inspect the car with me for dents and dings. He said he already did that. The car was in need of a vacuum and wash! There was no drop off box in Santa Clarita. I had to come back several times to drop off the key. The employee showed up over 30 minutes late to open the store. There were 3 other customers also waiting and frustrated.Hertz
