Made a reservation with a confirmation number . Called to confirm the address hours later before the pick up only to be told they didn’t have a car for me . When I asked when they planned on letting me know they didn’t have a response

We were promised a vehicle that I reserved a few months ahead of time as I knew about the shortage of rental vehicles When we arrived after our flight arrived, there were no more vehicles for us to rent, nor was there anything a supervisor could do despite having multiple cars from corporate on the lot. (The young man at the desk said that they were no longer associated with corporate). He called the supervisor only after I repeatedly asked him to do so, and even then, there was nothing they could do, leaving us stranded at the airport unable to get to our final destination that night. They wouldn't comp us for our hotel stay and Uber to get to the hotel, which was booked THAT night (as our Airbnb was about 90 minutes away and we had NO vehicle to get there). Awful experience, awful company. Never again will we book with Hertz. Unprofessional and inexcusable.

Cons:

Didn’t end up renting from them because they wouldn’t accept my debit card. I was a local renter and didn’t have return flight info (obviously) so they wouldn’t rent to me. The agent behind the counter was also pretty rude.

Pros:

Renting a van with unlimited mileage for their price was a great deal. The office manager I dealt with was capable and professional.

Cons:

The office closed at 6:00, and I was ready to turn the rental in at 6:30. It would have been nice to have some sort of drop box. As it was, I had to make a separate trip in at 8:00 the next morning.

Pros:

Yes, I believe her name was, Rosie she was great, infomative, friendly and professional

Cons:

Rosie needed a little assistance with my prepaid transaction, the other lady there asked me if I was sure I had money on my card, I pulled up my online banking to show her that I had over 11 thousand dollars available on that card. That statement made me feel a little disrespected.

Reserved a minivan online. Arrived and was not available. Stated that some were coming in and they would put me on a wait list for one. After 30-45 minutes they stated that they would not be able to provide one. Forcing me to scramble and run around to each rental provided to see if I could find an alternate source

I specifically sought out to rent a RAV4 because I am thinking about buying one in the future. I got a confirmation that a Rav would be available when I went to pick up my rental. I was told they only had a few cars left at Budget. I told then confirmation number and basically got a shrug from the desk clerk. I got a a different vehicle instead. The back seat wasn’t clean and front area wasn’t wiped down very well either. Why if they know people have reservations, wasn’t there enough cars in the lot to accommodate? I doubt I’ll rent from Budget again. Kayak also let me down.

the car was fine -- on checkin at the end of trip - the contract was closed out on the day we got the car - so a little concerning...also it did not look like license plate was uptodate

I asked the person about the military discount and was told there was one and she called someone and asked how much was it. She then did the paperwork and said she forgot to put it on but would fix the paperwork and would refund the difference which of course was a lie and didn’t!

Pros:

The staff was as friendly and suggested another spot. However didn’t offer any help beyond that. Tough spot to be in and would expect more.

Cons:

When I arrived they tried to scan my drivers license but the back side of it was worn out so scanner couldn’t read it. I had to go to hertz and pay double.

Pros:

Pick-up a nightmare!! One person manning desk and he was completely overwhelmed/ill equipped to handle the 8 of us who exited shuttle at same time. Ironically, there was a car convention going on. A complete lack of planning by corporate! And, the pick-up trucks, the cheapest, had just arrived THAT day and the lone employee had to literally remove the plastic, connect antenna, etc, which doubled reservation time. Will never use Dollar again. They are cheap for a reason.

Pros:

I was glad to get an upgrade to a truck because I really ended up needing it! It also snowed the last day I was in town so it made me feel more secure while driving. The Dodge Ram was incredibly nice inside and out. The staff that rented it to me and received it back were super-friendly and efficient.

The car was supposed to be a Toyota Corolla or similar but was a mini van. The counter person said the car had 16000 miles and was in perfect condition. The car had 19000 miles on, had obviously been in a wreck, and was not clean. I’ve never had an experience like that renting a vehicle before. It was a Hertz office not a straight up Thrifty.

Shuttle service is inadequate. Had to call from airport and nobody explained. Only had trucks...r u kidding me? Without running boards. U needed a step stool to get in. Won't use them again
