The security lady at the 1st floor entrance was so kind, truly felt welcomed. The hotel's pool and pool side service is excellent. The staff brings sunscreen, insect repellent, icy water, a few slices of melon and towels as soon as you get to the pool. The location is also decent and the hotel staff at the 2nd floor main entrance did an excellent job of getting us transportation and directing the drivers to the right places.
The condo next door is being constructed, so we had to bear a constant construction noise at the pool side, but it is not the hotel's fault. The room is not as clean as I would like. The carpet is a bit old and is stained. The room air condition fan noise is loud even at the lowest fan speed setting. The most of the hotel staff did an excellent job of providing good service, but noticed the land of thousand smiles is no where to be found with a few staff.
Upon check-in we were pushed to upgrade so we could have breakfast included. I've traveled all over Asia and haven't had to pay extra nonetheless made me feel like I was a peasant. The service was average. Tried to fill up the tub for my other half and there were pubic hairs floating around. The room was also cleaned better based on how much tip I left. I had great experiences at other Shangri-La hotels but this wasn't one of them.
very clean hotel with a relaxing atmosphere and good, prompt service
everything wa very good.
the athmosphere was cool
Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai is excellent in all ways! It is strange not to find any flaw from arrival to departure..
luxuries hotel people are excellent they tried to please us by all means.
breakfast buffet was not as we expected from Shangri-la standard if we compare with Malasia or Singapore Shangri-la food was not luxurious at all. I suppose because they had low ocupancy.
excellent service second to none, staff is superb and location was good.We upgraded for the horizon club services ( not rooms) with mere 800 baht and the value of the money was excellent.Horizon club people are out of this world , so gooooooooooood
I complained about the putting green , which was unusable and the response was immediate and the thanked for the feedback and informed me about an immediate improvement plan. These people are so good
Excellent hotel in every aspect. Staff very helpful. Romms perfect and pool area superb.
Maybe could have provided water by the pool.
Everything. Excellent hotel.
We were there for New Year's Eve and the restaurant was lovely. The fresh floral arrangements and christmas nut crackers on the tables were a great touch. The food was excellent.
